We use zoho for all business-related emails. 5 days ago our inbox was suddenly 100% wiped clean -- all emails sitting in the inbox disappeared without a trace. The missing emails are not in spam, trash, archives, or anywhere else to be found. Emails saved to other folders were preserved. After the "disappearance" we continued to receive emails but still cannot reference or respond to other emails that were in the inbox.
Later that day emails in 2 folders disappeared.
Yesterday emails from most our remaining folders disappeared. We have now lost most of our stored emails.
5 days ago I sent asked the following questions to Zoho Support:
1) Can the "lost" emails be recovered? Being unable to answer customer inquiries is a huge no-no in my business; most of the emails that were lost were unanswered inquiries from new, potential clients reaching out to us for the first time. I fear that being unable to respond will cost us their business.
2) How can I be assured that this will not happen again? This is a big deal to me. I have only been with zoho a couple months so I am unsure how often this will happen.
3) Do you know why this happened?
In fact, I sent 3 inquiries that day. Since then, I have received 1 response that merely instructed to check my archives (no, not there), no other support, and no answers to my questions. This is very distressing to me and my business. I am afraid that I have lost clients since their emails "went missing" before being responded to and have lost many important references including order confirmations, product price lists, etc that were intentionally saved in my folders. The lack of Zoho support is further distressing.
Please help. What do I do?
