Zoho Writer Gets Even Better!

We're back with a bunch of new feature enhancements!

Starting with a fresh new look for Zoho Writer, we have added the most sought after features and enhanced the usability of a few to give you the best experience. Here’s what’s new:

A Fresh New Theme!

We've changed the look and feel of Zoho Writer to make it more appealing and user friendly. The black and grey theme enhances the visibility of the tabs and brings in a clear distinction between each tabs for a better user experience.

Enhanced Image Dialog

Introducing the new Image library with various options to insert an image into your document! Now you can insert an image by:

  • Direct Upload: Upload any image from your computer.
  • Using URL: Use a direct URL to embed the image.
  • My Library: A storage of all the images you have used before. It also pulls the images that you have uploaded in Zoho Docs.
  • Picasa: Pull images from your Picasa account.
  • Flickr: Import images directly from your Flickr account.
  • Google Images: Search images from Google and add them directly to your document.

Drag and Drop Images

You can now drag and drop an image directly from the explorer into your document. The dropped image is automatically uploaded and inserted into your document. You can edit and resize it using the edit options.


Copy and Paste images from Web Pages

To use images for which you do not have copies of -- like the ones residing on a website or inside a document Zoho Writer document --- you can use the Copy Image option from the right-click menu and paste them in the required document. This will copy the image file to your clipboard, allowing you to paste it anywhere in your document.

 

Export PDF Without Issues

Now you can export PDF's without any kerning issues. Your text stays intact and all the ​links are exported the way it is in the document. You can directly access the URL by clicking on the links in the PDF.

 

Spotlight Search

We also have a brand new spotlight search inside the editor. You can now easily search for specific features inside the menu's without going inside each tab. Just type in the feature name like Tables, and directly land at the Table option.
