Spotlight 24: Glean audience feedback for sessions
Feedback forms are great tools to know what your audience thought at the end of your session. Enabling attendees to provide input that is useable is fundamental when it comes to understanding where they stand and where you should improve. With Backstage, you can collect feedback at the end of every session and customize your feedback form to further help you evaluate your audience and improve your presentation. Allow attendees to rate a session To display this form for attendees, go to the Sessions
Zoho Backstage - Web Hook
Are there any examples of Zoho Backstage - Web Hook integrations that can be shared. I am trying to put all the attendees list in Zoho Sheets so that we can create a dashboard in ZOho Analytics on it. Thanks, -Naveen
New: Cancel your event in three simple steps
Sometimes, despite your best efforts, the show cannot go on as circumstances beyond your control might force you to cancel your event. Over the years, natural disasters, political crises, and, more recently, COVID-19 have all caused many events to be canceled. We know it is, quite possibly, the single most difficult decision any event organizer has to take and a painful one at that. At Backstage, we'd like to help smooth the process for you, at least a little. And so, we've introduced this new
Announcing Backstage OnAir, our in-house virtual events solution
These past months have seen a huge rise in the number of virtual events with some of the biggest events of the year going online. Though there's little possibility for virtual events to completely replace in-person ones, COVID-19 has shown how flexible
Meeting for Backstage: Present virtual sessions, captivate your audience
Virtual events have seen immense growth in the last few months—almost 1000% according to one study—and most event organizers and marketers believe they'll remain popular even in the future. This decision to retain virtual events is completely understandable

Spotlight 23: Connect with your attendees over photos
People love taking photos at events. A quick selfie with a speaker, exaggerated poses near fancy signage, and planned-to-the-tee candid shots—we've all either done these at events or at least seen other people do them. So why not leverage people's love
Introducing activity logs to review action history
Hello everyone, In today's world, most of our data is online, and a lot of people use multiple devices to do their day-to-day work. Many industries, such as the event industry, have a need to amp up the security and transparency for team members who are a part of your event. With this in mind, we're introducing activity logs in Zoho Backstage to provide you more visibility of actions taken by your event team members on the platform. Trace user activities The activity log for any portal can be found
Virtual Event
So - in this day and age of COVID - Virtual Events are the new norm for people attending events. I own an AV and staging company and needless to say we are not AV and staging. However the Zoho backstage application could be our savior. And I mean Savior. We want to use the application to host virtual events instead of live events. I see that you have added the ability to put one virtual event button on the home page of the backstage app but this is not sufficient as there are typically many
Zoho Backstage to Zoho Analytics Integration
We are running multiple events in Backstage. We would like to track how the registrations are happening for these events ahead of the event day (e.g. 60 days before the event, 30 days before the event, etc.) Is there easy integration with Zoho Analytics so that we can easily track it rather than exporting data from Backstage, putting it into Zoho Analytics and then refreshing reports/dashboards? Thanks
Tracking campaigns in Backstage
How can I track what campaigns are driving registration in Backstage? Thanks
Convert one time backstage ticket to subscription
I want to make it easy for people to convert their backstage registration ticket into an annual subscription. Any easy way to do it without asking people to put they credit card info again. Thanks
Configure Automated E-mails
is there a way to configure which fields are add into the 'tickets details' section on automatic e-mails? it would be better to have company name included or an option to add any from the ticket registrations page.
Spotlight 22: Evaluating your event's performance
An event organizer's job isn't over with the completion of the event. Some might even say the toughest task is yet to come—measuring the event's success and its ROI. As organizations worldwide invest heavily in events every year, they expect tangible,
Zoho Backstage : questions
Dear Support, I have a few questions regarding Zoho Backstage. Can you please tell me if it's possible: 1) To customize the theme of the website and the tickets (fonts family, weight, colors, etc.)? 2) To use only the ticketing space (without the website) and to integrate (iFrame, for ex.) the ticket space in another website? 3) To connect Google Tag Manager and Facebook Pixel?
Problem adding contacts to a CRM campaign that is from Backstage
I have integrated Backstage with Zoho CRM but am unable to add members to the campaign in the Zoho CRM contact. When in the contact page and selecting Campaigns to add, none of the Backstage specific campaigns show up as an option to add to the record. However when going to the Campaign tab it is clearly listed and working. It seems that the only way to add is to click the Invite Prospects button on the Campaign page but that process is extremely difficult. I have several to add and am being
What's New – June 2020
Hello everyone, This month we worked on making Backstage more adaptable for you and your event needs. We've come up with a few features and enhancements to help you organize smoother events. Here are the latest updates on Backstage. Customize roles based on your event team With every event having different tasks, clearly-defined member roles with distinctive permissions are needed. With Backstage, you can now customize existing member roles to create new roles. You can also set permissions for each
Introducing a simpler, easier way to host GDPR-compliant events
These days, data privacy and data protection are an important concern worldwide. People are more aware and cautious with the information they share with organizations, especially over the internet. This, in turn, has led to stricter data protection laws, one of the most famous being the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on May 25, 2018. It changed the way businesses handled data by giving individuals more control over how their personal information can be used.
Introducing custom member roles and privileges
A team isn't always the same when it comes to its members' roles and responsibilities. This is especially true in the event world. Given the wide range of event types, distinctive roles that fit the shoes of every event member in the team are definitely needed. Say you would like to restrict the decisions made for branding your event to just a few people in your team. Or perhaps you only want the event organizers taking care of ticket payments for events. You can easily manage these needs by making
Different between Cancel and Refund
I see that paid registered attendees tickets can be cancelled or refunded. What is the difference between the two? Thanks
Email to Registered Attendees
I just unpublished and republished the event - How do I ensure that emails are not sent out to all attendees again with their tickets. It just creates un-necessary email and confusion. Thanks
How do I remove the billing address form in zoho backstage
Hi, This has not been a problem in the past and appears to have been triggered by me using zoho invoice. Anyway I am unable to remove the billing field (or even hide it) in zoho backstage. It's confusing customers - plus being in Aust the Zip code raises suspicion.
How do I use Zoho Backstage for VIRTUAL events??
Please help me understand how Backstage can be used for virtual events (events conducted online without gathering in any physical location.) I'm considering offering online events and would love to be able to organize them using this platform. Can anyone help me with this? If anyone has any experience or advice, I would love to hear your feedback.
Spotlight 21: Manage event sponsorship with ease
Hosting an event is no small deal. It can take a lot out of you – mentally, physically, and, most importantly, financially. To cover event expenses and compensate for a limited budget, many event organizers look to sponsors for funding. When renowned
What's New – May 2020
Hello everyone, This month saw a lot of countries easing their pandemic-imposed lockdown rules. Communities everywhere are starting to open back up while maintaining strict restrictions on social interactions. And though it looks like virtual events are here to stay, event organizers are hoping to get back to live events by late Q3 or early Q4 of this year. A lot of them are also looking to hybrid events as a possible option for the future. At Backstage, we've been working on making event management
Spotlight 20: Domain authentication for better email deliverability
For most event organizers, emails are the primary—if not the only—communication channel. Whether updating attendees with the latest event information before the event or staying in touch with them after the event, almost everything happens through emails.
Opening up the meeting access early
Is is possible to have the Join Meeting button show up 15 minutes before the start of the meeting? We had our first live event yesterday and so many people went to the site a few minutes early only to find the registration page and no way to join. This caused people just to dial in instead of using their webcams. We want people to be able to check in a little early so that we are ready to go at the start time. thanks!
The ability to sort Registrations
It would so helpful to be able to sort attendees, prospects and Order Summary under Registrations by any of the columns. Including by name, registration date and other fields on the registration form in ascending and descending order.
Customizing registration Questions in backstage
Hi there, I am using ZOHO Backstage for one of my events. In addition to the Name and Email address, I want to get other details like Job Title, Organization Name, Location and Phone Number of my attendees. How can I add these questions in my registration form so that my attendees can fill them out during the time they register. Thanks Naveen Jain CULytics
Merge field shortcuts list for Backstage Emails
Is there a list of the merge field shortcuts to use in building emails in Backstage? In the CRM email templates, you can just type the # to choose from a list of merge fields to include in the email. I don't see that in Backstage, nor can I find the list of merge fields that are available like event title, event description, etc. Any help would be appreciated. TIA!
Resending Attendee emails
Anyone know how to resend a confirmation email or any automated email to someone who has already registered. For example I have someone who registered that did not get the original confirmation email, I wanted to resend it just to her but I can't find a way to do that from her profile or anywhere else. TIA!
Removing Prospects from a Backstage Event
Why can I not remove prospcects from a backstage event? And is there a workaround?
Tips and Tricks 7: Live sessions
Hello everyone, Today we will see how to view the live sessions for your event. Live sessions are exactly what they sound like—the sessions happening at the current time in an event day. When you are dealing with many sessions or are hosting multi-day events, keeping track of sessions that are running parallel can help you get a clear view of your event agenda. A Live Sessions dropdown will be seen at the top of the Present Sessions tab from the Conduct dashboard in the Event Console. This dropdown

Tips and Tricks 6: Project sessions to the audience
Hello everyone, Today we'll see how to project sessions to your audience to keep them visually engaged. To start with, when you're delivering sessions or standing by for upcoming sessions, displaying the slide deck or an intermission screen can keep event participants involved and attentive. To do this, access the Present Sessions tab from the Conduct dashboard in the Event Console when the event has started. You can view the sessions in the timeline based on the track or the venue it is being presented
Tips and Tricks 5: Viewing ongoing sessions
Hello everyone, Today we'll learn how to view ongoing sessions in the Present Sessions tab. The Conduct dashboard in the Event Console can be used when your event has started. When you're about to start sessions, the Present Sessions tab will display all sessions you have planned for your event day. When you click any session in the timeline on the left, you can view more details about it in the dock on the right. This includes your session time, title, session track name, location, speaker details,
Tips and Tricks 4: Viewing current time in an event day
Hello everyone, Today we'll see how you can go to the current time in your timeline when conducting sessions in your event. Sometimes when you're looking at different sessions across multiple days, it can be inconvenient to jump back to the current time every time you need to view or present upcoming sessions. Sessions can be presented from the Present Sessions tab, which you can access from the Conduct dashboard in the Event Console. In the Present Sessions tab, you can view sessions across every
