DATE fomula challenge. really need help
Hi , I'd like to have user enter a StartDate, then specify a duration (1 w, or 3 m, or 1 yr, kinda like a subscription plan). I need to get back the ExpDate, and the count down in days to it. This way, I can sort data to lets say 3 days notice before expdate. I really need help. Thanks so much.
Link Directly To Edit Entry
I have a schedule that executes every day, if an entry has not been modified in 7 days it sends an e-mail per a table requesting that the entry be updated. The e-mail contains pertinent information about the entry, but what I would like is for it to include a direct link to the entry for easy editing. Ideally this would bring up the same window as if someone went into the view then clicked 'edit' next to the row. Does anyone know if this can be done?

I love this tool - but there's one thing I can't figure out - can you change the order in which forms and views appear under the Home menu? I'd like to group some things together but they are in the order I created them... Can anyone help? Thanks
Imported data in subforms not showing up in application View
I'm importing data into an application that has 4 subforms. The information is going directly into the separate subforms, but then it won't display in the actual application view. I've tried modifying the column properties in the application view, the subforms show that they are linked, but when I try to choose the field to display, I get a little yellow triangle error on the bottom, left of the page when I click done and no changes are made. Any ideas?
Two view requests
1) When clicking Edit on a record in a view the form opens with the words Edit Record on the top. Can this show the form name on the top? 2) When Summing a column of numbers can we add a label to the total row. When grouping items a label for each subtotal and then for the Grand Totals would improve the usability. Herb Wexler

order form and order details
I have built and order form and placed a sub form with order items. What I need to do is when the user selects an item to add to the order, it needs to look up the cheapest vendor of that item from another table and populate the vendor, price and item description to the order item record. Any suggestions on how to tackle this? I am new to Creator and Deluge script but not new to programming so technical speak is fine :) Thanks
While in application the forms and views are not sorted
I noticed that when designing an application the forms and view are presented in alphabetical order in the drop downs but when actually using the application they are sorted in some other order. SmartPhone problem on the form
I create a contact form and embed it successfully to my website. The problem is when I use my android (2.3.3) phone browser to access to the form, The captcha field doesn't display. Try with Firefox and Opera browser on my phone, The captcha field is Ok, but when I click on submit, the screen stops forever at "Please wait...." text. There is no problem when accessing by desktop computer. Any one is facing this problem? Your help would be appreciated.

Is it possible to export a filtered report to PDF?

When I select one of the values in the filter, I can see that the report gets updated to display only those values associated to the filter. Should Reports be This Complicated?
Hi - I don't know much about Pivot Tables but I want to be able to share a report with my team that basically looks like an Excel spreadsheet (but not showing all the data I have gathered). The pivot table seems very complicated and way more than I need. I would like the column headers to essentially be row 1. another broken feature - cannot execute function in script editor
Yet another feature that has apparently been broken by the update on Friday... See screenshot taken in Chrome v15 which should be self-explanatory. The function is not executed and the modal dialog displayed is empty.
Notes and Terms and Conditions in Invoice tasks
Are "Notes" and "Terms and Conditions" supported in invoice tasks such as zoho.invoice.createinvoice and zoho.invoice.createdraft ? I read help page but it's not clearly said. We use these 2 fields for writing some information for customers. It seems that other fields including custom fields are supported. So, if it's not supported, could you support these 2 fields as well ?

Multiselect - Returning all selected fields
I have two forms. The first form has a lot of information on different contacts. The second form has a multiselect lookup field where a person can select multiple of the contacts from a list. I am trying to write a script where it will them return all of the selected entries and add 1 to one of the fields. calculating number of days
Sorry to be so ignorant on database forms and formulas, however, I created this simple db and cant figure out how to calculate the number of days between dates entered. we have level of care date 1 and level of care date 2 and so on. Dollar sign in currency fields give error.
Does it makes sense that we cannot include a $ in a USD currency field? I think it is common sense that a $ could be a valid character in USD currency field. What is the point of a currency field if the server is not smart enough to handle a dollar sign? This is very frustrating to my customers. (not to mention it cannot even handle a comma ,) Seriously, why would you use a currency field?
Send email depending on status
I have a field in my form "Status", and depending on the status I want an email to be sent to the customer to let them know what the status is on their order. The problem I am having is that every time I edit a record, it sends an email, even if nothing was changed. For example if the status of an order is "Completed", I can open and close the record many time and an "order completed" email is sent each time, even though I haven't changed anything. How do I set it so that the emails are only sent
platform update problems - why on a Friday and why so many bugs every time?
Why do these updates cause so many problems and break so many features so frequently? Why is there not thorough testing done using multiple browsers?? Why do the updates typically get rolled out on a Friday evening, thus leaving things broken on the weekend when I am usually working on our business's apps in preparation for the upcoming working week??? Why...why...why..........??!!!
alert messages broken by latest platform update
The latest platform update has broken the display of alert messages. This can be replicated this by testing an "On Edit / Validate" script which cancels form submission and generates an alert message to the user. All that happens is a generic "Failed to update" error is displayed without the alert message specified in the script. Why is there so little testing done before rolling out these updates which so frequently seem to break things that were perfectly ok beforehand??

Help building a function to filter data?
I have a form that contains a record for each branch (of which there are 5). Each branch has different territories (states) that they are allowed to access, but some of them may overlap (i.e. Branch 1 may be able to see records for IL and WI, whereas Branch 2 should only be able to see records in WI). The Branch records have a field which contains the emailaddress for the user in question. What I would like to do is create a function which will return the states that the logged in user has access
Drop down limitations
Thanks for any help you can give me.... On a form we used to collection data about our teaching, I noticed that some of my fields were disappearing for "Academic Quarter". When I added a field for "Winter 2012" an older option for "Fall 2009" dropped off. I found info that there is a limit for the number of drop-downs in view. But what do I know now? Hide/Show Based on a Checkbox
I'm having a lot of trouble getting my hide/show when a checkbox is selected to work. I click on my checkbox and then go to "On User Edit" Script for that particular checkbox. I click on the edit if statement and insert input.Decision_Box_1 as I've seen previous and i get an error message that says Decision_Box_1 is not declared. Too many decimals in Currency field?
In my app, sportspenguin, if Asking_Price>0, then months * Rate (USD) = Total (USD), where Rate = 1.2 (USD). So why, if Months = 3, does Total = 3.5999999999999996???? USD currency fields are 2 decimal points.
view add records permissions
Hi, I'm embedding in my website a view for our users to see the database and I'm creating another view for the admins with add,delete,edit permissions). It is possible to only have one view for all and if you are loged in as a Zoho user and I'm sharing this database with that user, they can edit,add,delete records? What I'm trying to avoid is having to create 2 different views for each database. (one for the user to see the records and another one for the users with permission to add records.) Thanks,
number format
Hi there, I have two form fields that I've defined as a Decimal with 2 decimal values each. One of the fields is automatically calculated as (input.price_a = input.price / 6) Unfortunately when this operation is performed I get a number with 10 decimal values in the price_a.
