Marketing Specialism's OR Skill set not posting via API
Hi Not able to get any data into the Marketing Specialism's fields via the API. I suspect this is because there is an apostrophe in the field title! (Who would do that??) Also the API documentation is erroneous, which it appears to be in several places, as that asks for 'Skill set'. It would be very helpful if someone could advise on the above and also review the Recruit API documentation as we have wasted a lot of hours on what should have been a simple integration. Reschedule an interview is not possible in my system
Dear all, I read in ZOHO "Help" how to reschedule an interview. Step 3 is not possible because the "Re-schedule this interview link" in the "Interview details dialog-box" is not shown on my system. There are only the links for a new interview or for canceling the interview.
Not allowed to change user to Recruit?
I purchased an additional user, but it won't let me make the new user a recruiter? Only guest, etc.
Email Role Descriptions
I would like to be able to use Job Opening fields in email templates to Candidates. I would like to be able to send out role specs and messages that incorporate information from the jobs they are associated with. This is possible from the Email Alerts section, but I don't like the lack of control over this system. I would like to be able to choose which messages to send when. I believe this is a feature in your road map, can you let me know when this might happen? Thanks Ben

API no response using XMLHTTPREQUEST()

I am trying to put a report together which I run and input manually into a spreadsheet on a weekly basis. Yet all the data is in Zoho Recruit. The report pulls out data from Zoho Recruit Candidate and Job Modules. The headers for the fields are Reference, Candidate last name, Candidate first name, Week ending Date, Total days worked, Pay Rate. Customising job detail page.
Hi, In the "Careers website page" I have created a custom page to list my job. It is called Front page. This page only has one section has I want to embed it in my home page. No other sections. It looks really well. When I click on a job it open a new window with the full job details. The page only has the job details as i have no other sections included. Can I add custom HTML to this page? I cannot see how? To explain it another way. Can the jobs list and job details page have different layouts.
A bug in your Candidate search Algorithm
Dear Sir / Madame: You have a bug in your candidate search algorithm. I used the Advanced Search feature and entered two criteria (using 'and' feature) - 1) from my Position picklist I selected "Sales - Inside" and 2) from my Province picklist I selected "British Columbia" It returned anyone with sales in their Position. I also tried the search using my City picklist, choosing Vancouver and it returned anyone with sales and the word Vancouver in City. We have North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Vancouver
Filtering Candidates
When I need to view candidates for a job opening, I use the "filter by candidate for associated job opening" option. This lists all the Job Openings we have, and not just the active ones ("in progress"). Some of the Job Opening in the dropdown list have already been cancelled or put on hold. As a recruitment firm, we process numerous openings, and to have even inactive ones appear in the list makes it unwieldy. Hope you can provide an easier way to view associated candidates for active job openings.
Disable Automatic Login
I cannot find the instructions to STOP automatic sign-in into Zoho Recruit. The person must have clicked on "automatically sign me in" somewhere in the system and we can't find out where to reverse it. We want to have this person sign in every time they open their computer, not automatically. Any help would be appreciated - Please and Thanks!
How to call Zoho Recruit "addRecords" API and pass xmldata
Can't get the code below to successfully make the API call. I have Javascript and php to work with. When I make the call to "req.open" I never come back and the next "alert" command never executes. What happened? Is this the proper way to make the API call? A little help please with the code (html,javascript, php ) enabling me to effectively call the API. Attach CV not working
Hi, I'm using the API on a website to write candidate data into Zoho recruit. It mostly works fine except the attach file doesn't work. I've searched various forums and found a number of people have had this issue. I am using base64 to encode the file, I'm using the <FL val=" 1 - Attach resume "> parameter and leaving a space before the attachment name (something that was suggested). None of which work. Does anybody know if there is an solution to this? It's also unclear whether I'm supposed to attach

Ordering Sequence of predefined Emails
Dear all, I numbered my Emails to candidates to get them in that order. Afterwards, when I choose a predefined e-mail the list is not ordered alphabetic. The last changed predifined Email is shown first (order is by date last changed)
Change status to "hired" and "lock" a candidate without having a job opening.
I forwarded a candidate to a customer without a job opening in my system . Now the customer decided to hire the candidate. How can I set a candidate to status "hired” and "lock" the candidate, when I have no associated job opening? Best regards Michael Walser

I see that you can create multiple candidate forms. Can you assign different forms for different types of positions? We would like to allow some Executives and Physicians to just submit their resumes without having to fill out the entire job application that we require of other positions. Please advise. Thank you!

Avoiding duplicate entries in ZOHO
My understanding when we decided to launch ZOHO was that when entering candidates or clients to the system that it would recognize duplicate email addresses. Ensuring that we didn't run into duplicates. Clearly this is not the case. Other than the obvious (ie entering a candidate name before entering into the system to check for duplicates) does anyone have a solution to this? This is a pretty basic feature to set up and I'm shocked (again) with some of the mediocrity of the ZOHO platform.

Resume Parser & Outlook Plugin not working
Hi I just recently purchased the Outlook Plugin and the Resume Parser on the Free Edition. Resume Parser When I reached 4 candidates I was unable to Parse any more resumes (so I bought and paid for the plugin) but I am still having the same problem as in when I parse a resume it overwrites the last candidate. OUTLOOK PLUGIN ERROR The second problem is with Outlook. I installed the plugin and when I try to use any of the features I get an error: The remotes server returned an error: (500) Internal

I've tried to update the javascript included so that the 'Home" and "Careers" buttons actually work. I've been using 'javascript:history(-1)" in place of 'javascript:void(0)' that exists now. When I try to save and publish I get an error and the page usually crashes.

Would like to get a quick overview or guide on how to integrate a Zoho Recruit API into my main website pages. Basically, I want to have the client fill out a form and then "POST" the form fields into ZOHO Job Openings database thereby creating a Job Posting by the user directly from the main website. wanted to use "pay per click". In the pick list "Country", only USA and Canada are available. Does this mean that "Pay per click" is helpful to search in America but not yet in Europe or Asia?
E-Forms
Is there any way with Zoho to have candidates fill out e-forms? I would like candidates to be able to fill out forms via a web user interface and then submit those. Alternatively, I would like to be able to have users fill out a PDF on their own computer and then upload it to their candidate record. I believe this is possible via the API - is that correct?
