v.2 restored documents empty
I have a few documents from the old version of Zoho that have been in my Trash folder for a long time. I recently wanted to restore a few of them, but when I open them, they are completely blank! They have the right title and all, the (approximately) right date, but there is just nothing in them. I restored a more recently deleted document and it was fine, with all the content preserved. I've had a lot of trouble with documents created in the old version, and I would love it if this issue was fixed.
RTF document question
Zoho Team, First; let me say thank you for your fantastic product. I have two related questions about a document that is stored on Box.com that is "auto-magicly" edited in Zoho when I select "Edit" when on Box.com Question #1 I have an rtf format document stored on box.com. When viewed online @ box.com the page background color is displayed as white (it is actually green-ish). Zoho displays the greenish page background color correctly. I'm curious- what does Zoho do to get it right that Box doesn't?

CRM Merge Template Footers misbehaving
I have a set of Mail Merge Templates with Headers and Footers, the Footers will not hold their format after being saved. The issue is 'extra' blank lines appearing which pushes the Footer up the page leaving space below the footer image which looks ugly. I can edit the lines out, click save come out of the template and go back in and the lines are back. I have also tried changing the wrapping on the image from Inline to InFront again it seems to work, I save it and come back and the image is back
Setup email notification on update in shared document
Hello, I am new to Zoho club. I would like to share a document and would like to setup an email notification to both of us so that as and when the document is updated by either of us, the other one gets an email about this update. I am a graduate student and many times you will have 5+ people editing a single paper and making changes before submitting it for publication. This is an awesome tool, the only thing I would change if I had access to the code would be to have a typing notification come up when someone other than you in the group is typing. Similar to MSN chat, that way when the typing document is done I can refresh to make sure I have the latest copy of the document. This could be a very powerful tool for paper editing
Notification of changed shared docs
If I create a doc, then share it with three other users userX, userY and userZ, then I would like the other users with whom I have shared the doc to be able to easily notify me that they have read and (possibly) edited the doc. Being alerted when collaborator edit your shared document
Is there a feature already which would let me know when someone else - with whom I've shared a document in Writer - makes some changes? If not, it would be good to be sent a little alert (email or RSS) when this happens, so you can keep an eye on the improvements that others are making on your original text.

Hello, I'm trying to embed Zoho Writer into my LMS so my students can work on documents collaboratively. When I go to the "embed the web" tab and click the link to embed Zoho Writer, it asks for an embed code, and says that I can navigate to the Zoho website to find it. Remote API Error code 1891
Hello, im using the Remote API to save my Documents. With Zoho Sheet and Show there is no problem saving a Document. But Zoho Writer always throws the Error 1891 "Invalid URL" while saving, although it uses the same save.php like Sheet and Show. Extra spaces inserted into text after cut-and-pasting
Not sure if this among the issues you already have noted for cut-and-pasting, but extra spaces are inserted between words here and there when pasting text. Not a big deal, but not as it should be.

Lock a mail merge doc in Writer
Short story I've created some CRM merge docs in Writer and I'm sick of staff changing fonts and layout on a whim. All they need to do is hit Finish and Merge then print the doc. Is it possible to make the docs read only to everyone without admin account or to require a password to save? While I think about it can the doc merge the data fields automatically when it opens rather than hitting "Finnish and Merge"?

Hello, I opened a document in Zoho Writer from my Zoho Projects account and I have added comments into the document. But after one of my colleagues opened and closed the document in zoho writer, all my comments are disappeared. Same with my colleague, when he adds a comment, it disappear after I open the document. Cannot open edit merge document pop up.
On my colleagues machine you press merge document field, edit document and it opens in a new window. my login is setup exactly the same as his, with the same permissions, etc, but when i press edit merge document , nothing happens, it just sits saying merging template, no pop up window. I have loged in as him on my machine and it all works fine, it is just relating to my login, not browser settings. can you help.
can't do the basics
Hi, I've written a very short document as a trial. I've named it and saved it. Now I want to see if I can create a folder, name it, and move my document into it as a file. The instructions say to go to the document list and check the box of the file I've selected. Then click on Personal Folders and drag and drop the file accordingly. I don't seem to have a document list and when I retrieve my solitary file it doesn't come with a check box. I also cannot find any mention of Personal Folders on

I'm new to Zoho and was just wondering how can I tell with whom I have shared a document? I don't see a way to get a list of individuals with whom I have shared a certain document.
Will Zoho Writer Ever Be Used Offline Too?
Hi! I'm often nervous about using Zolo Writer and my internet dropping out and severing the session and losing your work or being denied it during long internet/power outages. I heard that it's possible for a company like Zoho to enable using Zoho Writer offline as well, which would alleviate that cut-off worry. Is Zoho working on anything like this? OpenOffice Document Patch Appeal
Greetings. Always can't say and pay enough for all ZOHO's suite offerings, being it dwarfs Google's by far. My sole regret is that Zoho aborted its OpenOffice plug-in project at a time where that feature is an extra desirable point vs GoogleDocs. Hi there, for some internal reasons I had to cancel my ZOHO Writer account. After removing ZOHO from my google App-List and closing my account, the ZOHO Icon still remains when opening my google docs. problem viewing edited docx
Hi, i reported this as a comment on a previous issue, but its was already flagged as 'answered' and you might have not seen it, so i report it again. I'm using google viewer as a substitute for the soon-to-be-shut-down zoho viewer. Zoho Writer images not appearing in emails
If I cut and paste a paragraph from a Writer doc that has an inline image in it that I got from my computer and insert it into an email, the recipient of the email does not get the image, only a red square with a question mark in it. The image does appear in the sent email. This has always worked before the past few days and just started happening. Why is this?
"Insert HTML" missing in Writer 3
I use to write locally using Markdown; then I export the HTML code to Zoho writer using "Insert HTML" and format fits very well. "Black Bars" in writer when collaborating
Hi, Opened a document at the same time as a colleague and tried editing it at the same time. That worked, except that each of us see "black bars" on top of each character that the other typed. Makes it very unreadable. Is this a bug, or some feature we can disable? Thanks.
IE 9 not working with writer
Team, I can't launch writer using IE9. The error message is Sorry Your browser or version (7.0) is not supported and then lists latest versions links. I have the latest version installed IE9. I too miss the plugin for LibreOffice! Google Docs Writer is so lame and won't even let Zoho access .odt files clean to let you work on them in Zoho. Whatever the reason Zoho terminated LibreOffice plugin support, can't the MS Office plugin be substituted for LibreOffice with a little tweaking? I don't understand why Zoho is pushing LibreOffice people to do online documents on an inferior service! I would even pay a charge for this feature in Zoho Docs. Is it really that intense a maintenance issue
