How do I stop the annoying "no friends online" and Zoho Chat popups?
I just started getting an annoying pop-up at the bottom left of the Zoho Writer page saying "no friends online" "no notifications" and "no live chat." I don't do any of this stuff. It goes away if I click on it, but it just started and never saw this before.If I maximize the chat bar, I get a pop up saying Unable to connect with Zoho Chat.Reconnect now. Another annoying popup that will not go away. How do I get rid of these?

Any chance of a Zoho desktop client for writer?
Zoho has my favorite documents interface (love tabs!). But I hate that I have to have an internet connection to use it. Why doesn't Zoho build a desktop client of its own so we can work offline and sync with our online work? I would definitely use it.

Background colour (outside of writing area)?
Hi, silly question but is there any way to change the background colour, not on the writing area, but of the margins to either side? i have a 27" screen and all that white / off white is very dazzling. Id like to have a white page sitting on a black screen - is that possible within the settings?

(Newbie): Where are Writer documents stored......
I can create a document in Writer and Save it but where is the document stored? (I am new to Writer and come from a "drive-based" (C, D, E, F,..etc) environment where we can save a document to a drive or a subdirectory of that drive. I need something to emulate "directories" or "folders", don't I?, so I can group common documents together. I also need some notion of "path" to locate those directories I created.) TIA, edm2468 P.S. Published Writer document not showing in IE
I have problems viewing published writer docs in IE. If i select Go Back to Editor in IE I am able to view and edit...but I am concerned that my users will not be able to view my published docs from IE. This would be a deal breaker for me. I enjoy using Zoho, but I have sensitive eyes, and the brightness of black text on a bright white screen in too much for me. Is there a way to invert the colors, to have white or yellow text on a black page?
Transliterations not working with Writer
Dear zWriter Team, None of the transliterations of Indian Languages (Google/MSN) are able to work with Zoho Writer. I see the transliteration enabled and the the textarea shows the language indicator but the text are not translated. The same bookmarklets work fine in every other instance. CSS Line Breaks stripped out
Hi, I'm a small biz loyal zoho biz user. Happy too, most of the time. Great job guys. Here is my ? I'm not a coder. I have copied css code which includes line breaks that make editing the CSS much easier into Zoho writer. Writer seems to strip all the carriage returns out and all the CSS is one long doc without breaks. I am able to maintain the carriage returns in .rtf locally. But, when I try to paste the CSS from the .rtf into Writer the document is one long glob of code...no carriage breaks.
Copy & Paste not working
I could create and save 10 new documents but when I go to copy and paste content (just text) into them, only 1 of 10 would save the content. It would appear to save the content but when I go back into the documents, they are empty.

Writer - Firefox big bug, document content mismash (replaced by content of different doc)..
Hi, i now few times suffered awfull bad in FF. When i using more tabs, sometimes is content of 1 tab, duplicated into second tabs and original concent is replacent (disapear). Do know already working on fix?
Spell checker
OK, so how is this supposed to work? I click "spell Check" things wirl away and nothing seems to happen! I'm expecting something like Word or Open Office where I'm presented with options for each suspect spelling but I get nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
Any Zoho response to images not working properly in Firefox?
Images in Zoho writer continue not to work correctly in any version of Firefox 3+ thru Firefox 6.0. They often do not align correctly around text (left or right) and if they do, they can NOT be moved by dragging. I've tried this on several computers with various versions of Firefox. I have posted this problem before but no response from Zoho. Please help with this.

Applying existing tags to a doc
I have two tag folders. But, I can't figure out how to apply an existing tag to a new doc. The Add Tags window opens, but then what? And...the sub-forum choice over there ====> which one is appropriate for asking a question? I just guessed at one to get this posted.

Hi, I've looked everywhere and still couldn't find an option that let me set the <title> tag of a published page. The document is named, but its document name doesn't seems to reflect on the page <title> tag. The weird thing is, when I look at the HTML code view of the default Welcome page(which is created automatically by the system the first time we enter Zoho Writer), in its Head tab, there's a '<title>Welcome to Zoho Writer</title>' tag right there. Getting Problem saving doc msg
I also cannot import documents either. Therefore, I can't do my work in Zoho. Please help immediately. The situation occurs in both IE and Chrome.

I have been using Zoho writer for the past two years and on three occasions, including once yesterday, I have had the contents of a single Writer file disappear. The file remains but it now resembles a brand new, empty file. In each case, the contents lost included 20-30 pages of text. Why does this happen? Is there any way to retrieve the lost contents? Ive used Zoho Writer before and I loved it and everything went well, but now every time I try to save, I get this error.
CTRL+S to save document
The keystroke to save a document says it is Ctrl+S, but when I do that, it only offers me to save it to my computer. I only want to be able to save it to Zoho. I know there is an icon to save it (and it saves automatically), but is Ctrl+S suppose to save it as well?

Wrong lowercase chi symbol
When uploading a Word document I've noticed that the lowercase chi (χ) symbol is converted into the letter c. χ25 = 10.8 becomes c25 = 10.8
