Document Deleted One Year Ago Has Returned
One year ago an associate of mine removed a document from his account that he no longer wanted displayed. The document is back on display under his account even though he hasn't used it for a year. Is there any particular reason for this?
When an ODT file is uploaded, the default "style and format" is deleted
Hi, I have an ODT file created with OpenOffice (3.0.1) that contains only two lines and Default style is applied on both of them. I just modify properties of Default style to bold, italic, font size. But when I upload this file in Zoho, my Default style isn't kept and the two lines remains with the Normal format of Zoho. For information, if I do the same test with a DOC file (Word 2003), the issue doesn't occur. Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks. Guillaume. PS : I'd like to send you the odt file
set language for new document?
Hi, just started using Zoho Writer, very impressed so far. I have one question though: I write texts in both English and German and would like to set the language of a new document when starting to work on it. I'm aware that I can spell check in different languages, but is it possible to change characters like double quotes or speech marks? In English they look like this: "Hello", whereas in German they should look like this: „Hello". Sounds like a minor thing, but if you're writing a lot of dialog,
spacing issue...
I'm doing a piece with dialog, but when I hit "ENTER," I'm getting double spacing. I cannot get it to single space (it is single when I continue to type, but if I want to go to the next SINGLE line and hit ENTER, it comes up double-spaced). How can I change that? OR what am I doing wrong?
sorting word document table
is there a way to sort by columns in a table? i opened and saved a new document. i inserted a table. i populated the columns in the table and now I want to sort the columns. is there a way to do this? thanks tim imadufus

sorting a text list
Good Afternoon, Tried and tried,to no avail. All I want to do is alphabetize a text list. I find no recognized info on this subject, from instructions or forums. Is this a sore subject,? Your help to this subject would be appreciated. Also,how would I find the answer to other questions without having to go to a forum? Paste options
Occasionally when I go to paste something into Writer, a box will pop up saying PASTE OPTIONS, supposedly allowing you to paste what you copied in various ways. But first, it doesn't seem to work and also, how do I get that box to pop up, or is there a setting to use it?

problem opening docs using Chrome browser
I've recently switched to Chrome after Firefox updates made life too difficult, and now with the changes in your Writer UX for opening documents I can't see or open most of my Zoho docs. At first the display was buggy (different options overlaid) but at least I could get to my most recent 4 docs. I tried to open an older doc today and am stymied - when I search nothing seems to happen and I can't expand My Documents, the arrow points down but no list appears. Help please! This is a major problem,

where is spell check?
I'm brand new to this. I cannot find the Spell Check button. I've looked thru all the help forums and all the drop down menus, and have gone over the page a hundred or so times, and it is not there. What am I missing??? It appears I am on version 4.5 of Writer. Thanks in adviance.

ZOHO writer's sidebar is in hidden position by default, how to get back to extended sidebar at all times ? thanky you.
Dear community, since today 16 July the sidebar, ( the one with the list of my writer documents available) is hidden by default. I can only open it by pressing the dropout button and then it jumps out to the right. My problem is that in that case the bar covers the part of the document. I remember a week ago a side bar used to be a constant part of a writer window, as it still is in zoho sheet ( see attached picture). Due to the reason that i often have to jump between tenth of the documents I need
Images Not Printing or Transfering in PDF Mode
I have a Mac OS X 10.4.11 laptop, and when I send a PDF or try to print from Zoho the images do not come through. Please tell me what to do.
Default paper size . . .
Try as I may, I have failed to set Zoho Writer such that new documents have A4 paper sized as default. I have tried this via a template and by ticking the 'default' check box. Whenever I start a new document I have to alter the default page layout to what I usually use which is A4. Is there a way of setting A4 to default rather than Letter? Thanks
Request: Set defaults for all new docs
I couldn't find this anywhere, so apologies if it's been asked and answered. I'd love a way to be able to set fonts, margins, and paragraph spacings (basically all the "style" things) and save those as my defaults. I usually use Georgia 12pt as my body-text font, and I put a little space between grafs. It would be great to be able to "Use these settings as the default for all new documents" or better yet, let me upload a Word doc and save that as the default. Just a thought. But Writer is *wonderful*!
Zoho Writer Remote API problem (html-code in the doc file)
We are trying to use Zoho Writer Remote API and have problems. I'm trying to open .TXT file, and if this file contains html-symbols (e.g. < or ") Zoho Writer interprets these symbols as HTML. So, content of opened file is wrong � Zoho treats this file as HTML, but not as a plain text. It happens with .DOC files as well. When I try to import a MS.doc document - the import dialog box says that the import was unsucesful. But the document did actually end up importing. The indenting is rather screwed and the pargraph hyperlinking does not work from a table of contents. Does the concept exist, the same applies for figures and tables (cross referencing) Cheers

I am just trying out the zoho writer and cannot find the page orientation, how to view the page in smaller size, eg 75% whilst working on a document or how to effect or change page breaks as the print view is different to the actual view of an inported document francis.hor

javascript etc
Darn. I wanted to move some notes around and I ctrl-x to cut it from one place, and then I did ctrl-v to paste it in another and nothing happened. Like an idiot, I tried the same thing with another chunk of text, and lost that, too. I finally figured out it was because I had IE set to high security, which I am supposing caused the problem because it turns off javascript. This is a bug: if paste is not going to work, then cut shouldn't either, because otherwise you can lose text. And so did I go back

this is probably a very simple issue, but one that immediately stops me from using Zoho. why can't i view individual pages with zoho writer? when i import .docs from word, it will show me where the page breaks should? be, but without the headers and footers (including footnotes). is it that difficult to present the view one page at a time? this precludes footnotes at the end of each page, or really having a sense for formatting and printing pages as they would print (without going to the print
Integration of Docs and Writer
I am using Zoho Docs and Writer. Unfortunately, these two solutions seem not yet to be very good aligned / implemented and working with both applications is at least for me very confusing: If I upload Word (or other doc format) documents from my computer, they appear in Docs with exactly the same symbol as docs that have been created in Writer. formatting disaster
im having major problems with the formatting in this document. this document is used for my summer school notes, meaning the document is being edited from two different computers. i started out using firefox betas, but now use ff3 on both machines. one machine runs vista sp1, the other uses xp sp3. the easiest problem to check out is the font. the font WILL NOT CHANGE. im trying to have the entire document in "garamond" but i can't get it to work. please help! i would love to share this document

New parapgraph indents
I imported a word document into Zoho. While making the document in Word I had hit the tab button at the beginning of a new paragraph occasionally though most of the time a new paragraph was not indented. I can't figure out any way in Zoho to remove the indentation. I want the first sentence of every paragraph to not be indented. Is there a way to do this without going into format coding?
Document will not stay double spaced
I have a document in Zoho Writer. I want it to be double spaced. The first half is indeed double spaced. I can double space the second half. Then I save the document. Then if I look at it in Page View or sign out and back in again, it has reverted so that the second half is single spaced again.
