Folders and document management
I love the recent technical improvements to Zoho Writer. But what I really want to see right now is better document management. I'm using Writer a lot, and it's hard to go through all my docs to find what I'm looking for. This is one area in which I think Google Docs is actually better than Zoho Writer. I need folders and subfolders to organize my docs. I need a better view to manage them all. Zoho Start is helpful, but it's not enough. I'd like to see some sort of folder or label system to help
Newbie needs to know how to delete comment
I added a comment in the middle of a sentence and associated a comment with a word. In either case, I can't find the menu item to delete them. Couldn't find it in the right-click menu either.

Writer Updating Changes Slowly
I like Writer, and use it frequently. Lately, I have had problems with very slow updating of documents. I make an editorial change, and though it shows in the saved document, It doesn't change in the printed form. I print from PDF mainly, and it may take up to 10 minutes before the changes appear in the PDF. Is there a way to correct this, either on my end, or on Zoho's end? SteveB

Why Does Zoho Writer Say Imported Zip Files Are Corrupted But Zoho Docs Says Okay?
Greetings Subject line says it all. Why does Zoho Writer always say that an imported Zip File is corrupted but Zoho Docs imports zipped files just fine? zoho writer - simultaneous editing issues
I share a document with 5 or 6 other users. None of the users "lock" the document but when multiple folks try to edit at the same time, the app seems flakey. Sometimes the second user cannot edit the doc at all. Other times they can edit, but the edits fail to save. Sometimes the edits save, but the person that was in first loses their changes/edits. Are there any best-practices I can follow to avoid some of these issues? Does the lock feature still exist? I recall seeing a padlock on the old version,

In zoho writer I share a document with 5 or 6 other users. From time to time two people will edit simultaneously. When this occurs, sometimes we've noticed the document locks so that only one user can edit. When this happens the second person cannot alter the document. Please note that none of the users are using the LOCK feature to lock the doc. Also, occasionally when multiple folks edit, sometimes one person's changes fail to save. Are there any best-practices to avoid the issues described above? Thanks
Can't Move Doc from Zoho Docs To Zoho Writer
Greetings All. Since Zoho Writer stalls whenever I attempt to upload a raw 500k doc. file and also states that any zip file I try to upload is always corrupted and un-uploadable, I use Zoho Docs because all those features work there, oddly enough. Only thing is when I want to edit the file and hit the EDIT hotlink, Zoho Docs tries to load up Zoho Writer which only chokes on the doc all over again. It's although Zoho Writer is a whole different program with its own incompatible import/export rules.
Document Sharing
I had a Writer Doc. shared to me. It appears on the side bar, but when I click on it, it doesn't open in writer. Is this normal behavior? How does sharing work?

In light Firefox dumping Mac OS 10.4 Tiger support, I wish to voice my appreciations that I can use Zoho Writer on Firefox 2.0 on my 2003 iBook's Panther OS 1.3.9 as equally well as on my Intel MacBook counterpart. Zoho is the great app equalizer which allows older systems to access and use apps which are far more advanced than those of stand-alone "obsolete" ones on older machines. Syncing or working offline
I'm a Newbee, so pardon the simple question. My assumption was that because I had imported a MS Word document when I set up the syncing with Google Gears it would allow me to go back to the original document, which would include my Zoho Writer editing, and work on it because the two would be "synced." It appears I still need to be in Zoho writer in order to work on the doc offline. If this is the case how do I get the final document back in the MS Word format when I want it? I see an Import tab

Hi Team, Maths complicated equation created through Zoho Writer and imported to Zoho Challenge happens in questions, however, if the answer options also has maths equations then it cannot be pasted in the choice(s) fields. Could you please advise if there are any plans in pipeline to make equations work in choices too?

You can revert to the most updated version with the all the content from there.と書いてあったんですけど、writer editor にどうやっていくのかわかりません。
Can I use Zoho writer as a plug in to my website?
If I have a website with users already, is there a way to use the zoho writer without redirecting them off my website? I want to use the writer as a channel of sorts, where my users can submit information, and have that information bounce back to my website. If possible, I would also like to have that information redirected to a reader I am going to make that will display something similar to an ebook (but more like an e-article). Is there any way to do any of this? M

Linking documents is not working
I am able to add the link, indicating to which zoho document I am linking too. But then all I get is the name of the link underlined and in blue, but I nothing happens when I click on it. Am I Missing anything? Satyan, not really, if click on the text, nothing happens, the best I can do is to right click, which opens a long menu and then select Check link....
Getting Javascript Error
Hi, I am using ZOHO editor in one of my application. It works fine but when i am using bullets in the editor is shows javascript error and the applied bullets are not saved in the document. Scenario: Open any word document in ZOHO editor and place bullets and click on enter then you will get javascript error. How do I set the document title in Writer.
I have created a document and made it public. However, the name in the URL is 'Untitled' and I would like it to be more descriptive. The file name is not 'Untitled'. I can not find where to set this.
Text appears within block outlines in exported ODT files
Greetings! First kudos for doing a great job with this service and its fine apps! I appreciate the difficulties of making it accomodate as many platforms as possible! My prime quirk is that text and empty spaces occassionally appear within block outlines when it's exported as Odt files. This occurs with Mac OpenOffice Writer 3.1 and 3.2 on a Mac running 10.4.11 and 10.5.8. Also there are gray shaded single spaces (soft resets?) dispersed around the document as well. Problems Opening Offline Email
I am using Windows 7 and Zoho says I am offline with my email, however, when I clik on the email to open it offline, nothing happens, can someone tell me what is wrong? The link on my desktop works fine and the email app opens offline like it is supposed to and I can see there is an email but cannot open email to read it. Offline works fine but I want to open emails offline.

Who else is editing my document
Is there a way to see who else is editing my document? I am planning to share edit permissions with about 8 other people. This is to be a project status report with multiple tables and if someone locks up a table, I would like to know who it is. Bill
Two quick questions-
1) Is there a file size limit to Zoho Writer? I'm sure there is, but I don't see it listed, and my large blocks of text that goes on for pages and pages and pages and pages have begun to annoy Googledocs... and 2) I'm having an issue with text justification. I have a set of symbols that are supposed to be centered to help break up large areas of text into manageable sections, but there's a couple spots that, when I go to center it, it moves the whole section. TOC not working with firefox 3.5.5
I just created a new document and added a TOC. Clicking on the TOC entries in Firefox just adds another edit | print preview banner but does not take me to the indexed page. The links do work in IE 8. In Opera 10.10 the links work, but the scrolling region shrinks to 1/2 page.
Page margins as actual measurements rather than percents? (and changing default page settings)
One thing that I need to do when making documents is set the page margins to an exact value, say, one inch. It looks as though this is not possible with Zoho Writer currently, which allows a change so it would be very helpful if this could be implemented at some point. Also in page settings, being able to change the default page setting would save me from having to change things like the margins every time I make a new document. Thanks.
