Add Templates to Writer?
Hi! So ive been slowly switching over to Zoho from other services and I was thinking that it would be really awesome if you guys integrated a template feature into Zoho Writer like in FreeThink. For example how they have a Class Notes template if you had an easy create one that when you click NEW it comes up as an option. Additionally id love to see better integration between Zoho Applications like I create a document in Writer then have the option of saving that page into one of my Zoho Notebooks,
"Problem in blog posting" from Writer
Hi, Several months ago, I began getting a "Problem in blog posting" error when I click the Publish button in the Blog Post dialog. I'm using WordPress 2.0.1, hosted by a 3rd party (NetFirms). It's configured to use the "metaWebLog" API and an URL of (my domain)/xmlrpc.php. I believe the PHP script is still working OK - I can retrieve the categories from my blog. Is there any troubleshooting I can do, or a log that would give me more information about the error? Thanks, Dan.
Writer doesn't resize vertically in an iframe
Hi, When using Writer remotely and displaying inside an iframe, if the iframe is resized vertically writer doesn't resize itself to fit the iframe, although it resizes correctly horizontally. This works fine in both the Show and Sheet applications. A small point, and thanks for a great set of products. Regards Paul Brennan
Word document with tables - Formatting issues
Hi, I saved a MS Word 2003 document, after pasting the document contents to Zoho Writer, using Remote Data API. However, something went wrong with the table formatting in the document which causes the Word to hang (3 out of 4 times) when I try to open the document. The only time I was able to open the document, I got an error saying there was a problem with the table formatting. Please let me know why I am getting this formatting issue. Thanks, Trisha
How to Avoid "Untitled" clutter?
I suspect I'm just missing the "Rename" command somewhere, but particularly in Writer, I'm getting multiple "Untitled" documents cropping up, b/c after I "Save As" a new title, Writer creates the new doc, but leaves Untitled in the hopper. I don't see "Rename" anywhere. Having the same problem in Spreadsheet. Can anyone help? Thanks!
EMail Out window's Search
I type a key(starting letter of an user in the shared names) and click the Load Shared Author email ID. It loads the remaining words of the author. But it limits only with the username. I thought username is enough for sending mails and it will get mapped inside, coz this is only a shared user. But by clicking the send button shows the below error message "Please enter a valid email address!" Please clarify me if i am wrong.
Saving a documet
Hello! I have a problem when I save a document. Zoho gives the message "Document format not supported. Error in saving content". Copying and pasting from laptop
I'm using MacOSX. This did not occur in Safari. It occurred in Camino. (I will now try it in Opera and Shiira as a matter of interest). I have a copy of the poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (T.S. Eliot) on my laptop. Every 5th line has a line number, right-justified, at the right margin. When I copy and paste the poem into a Zoho document, the paste operation proceeds correctly in Safari. In Camino, the line numbers are wrapped. Problem while saving on my iphone
Hello, I wrote a small entry on zoho writer with my iphone 3G. It worked great until I went to save. For some reason, it just hangs on saving. I put down and the next morning it was still hanging. Anything I might be doing wrong?
Using ZWriter as a CMS for webpage content authoring

removing a tag
If I am not mistaken, tag cannot be removed once attached. It would be nice if I could remove tags from a document.
Using mobile service
I have tried using this on my phone - HTC Universal. My phone features a VGA (640x480) resolution, but the Zoho service seems to offer only QVGA resolution. Do you have plans to roll out a VGA interface? This will be simply great to me. Thanks.

Text boxes and Layers issue
Dear Zoho staff, I have document templates that use text boxes to arrange all the content. When I try to import them into Zoho Writer, the Writer doesn't seem to recognize the boxes. Instead it enters the content of the boxes one after another down the page. Trying to recreate the document using Zoho Writer's Layers tool has not been to successful either. Trying to export a Zoho Writer document with layers in it results in a whole misalignment of my layers, or the layers are not recognized at all
Import? Content not available?
The reason I signed up for this was so I might be able to enter my Microsoft Word documents. When I had the programme I password protected everything and when I try importing/uploading its says is not available. I was wondering if anybody could help. I don't have Mic Word anymore so I can't take the passwords off. If anybody does know could you send me an e-mail to sammyz1@hotmail.com since I don't really know how to use this site yet.

I've used Zoho Writer briefly, and like it very much – it's a lot better than Google's word processing program! Save callback
Hi, I am actually wondering if we could get a callback when the user saves a document, sheet or presentation so as to know whether the save is successful or not, and in my side I could display a more helpful message for the user instead of a general one. so is there anyway, to handle the callback from the save button when the user click it through the remote apis or just changing the text in the pink bar when the save occur Thanks in advance, Ahmad

Embedding Doc in an existing Webpage
Hi, Is there a way that I could have an existing html template/shell page hosted on a site somewhere and then have the body/content embeded from a Z Writer document? I'm exploring a way to simulate CMS functionality for a simple website, by having some pages designed and generated using photoshop, then having some of those pages embed some link somehow to display a page authored with Z Writer and hosted at Zoho or similar? I guess I'm looking for the Z Creator form embedding idea, but not for forms......just
Problem with document sharing
Hello, I am sharing a document with the students in my class. One student has reported that although she has successfully registered for a Zoho account, she does NOT see my shared document in the "Shared to Me" area. I have verified that she registered with the same email address I am using to invite her to the document. She says that she is using Vista. I do not know which browser she is using. Could this be the problem? Which browsers DO and DO NOT work with Zoho Writer? Thank you, Julie

Hi there, I've been playing around with writer for months now, and just went back to heavy use again for the first time in a while to type out some notes for a grad school class. I love the GUI-driven LaTeX equation editor -- I have three different TeX editors I'm playing with as I try to learn, and being able to do equations that update in real time is a great tool. I have been regularly using your Zoho writer for mathematical stuff.I like the Latex editor for equations and symbols--so convenient to use. Add more color choices with the equation editor...now you have only blue color...I am sure more students and profs will start using this!--Keep up this work--a great help for math and sicence lovers world over!I know the product is from India--which gave zero and sine function table to the world!!
pdf output in writer

Zoho writer strangely slow...
Hi - First off, let me start by saying how wonderful the zoho suite of programs is. My problems with zoho writer in no way detract from my overall very positive experience with zoho. I am experiencing a speed problem with zoho writer. Simply, the whole app is frustratingly slow, with a response time in seconds... i.e. I strike a key and about a second passes before it appears in the editting window. Zoho Writer very slow
I really like your service but the overall response is slow. Document scrolling speed is fine. However, doing a search in a large document (3.3 MB before import, all text with minor formatting, no images) is extremely slow and usually takes over 30 seconds (compared to instantaneous in Word). Doing typical editing is extremely slow. I'm using IE7 under XP. Please convince me that I should stay with Zoho. Thanks, Chi-Kai

importing folders from google docs
I followed the instructions posted telling me how to import a folder of my google docs, but when I get to the actual import option it won't let me import a whole folder in one go- i have to do it file by file- is there a work around so that I can import a whole folder of docs at the same time? thanks
pdf Print Quality no as good as native
Hi, When I print to pdf, the print quality is never as good as when I print directly from Z Writer browser window? I can't print from the Z Window cos of the formatting problems obviously, but the pdf option is also not professional enough to send to clients. Any suggestions? Thanks Luke
