Enable Backgrounds and Video Filters for 1:1 Cliq Calls Across All Zoho Entry

Hello Zoho Cliq Team,
We hope you are doing well.

We would like to request an enhancement related specifically to 1:1 video calls in Zoho Cliq.


Current Behavior

Zoho Cliq currently provides background and video filter options in the following scenarios:

  • Scheduled video meetings (with a meeting link)
    Backgrounds and filters are available to participants regardless of whether they join via:

    • cliq.zoho.com

    • one.zoho.com

    • Embedded Zoho Cliq widgets in other Zoho products

  • 1:1 video calls (non-meeting calls)

    • Participants who answer the call via cliq.zoho.com have access to backgrounds and filters.

    • Participants who answer the same 1:1 call via: one.zoho.com or Zoho Cliq widgets embedded in other Zoho applications (e.g., Zoho Desk) do not have access to backgrounds or video filters.


Requested Enhancement

We request that backgrounds and video filters be enabled for 1:1 Zoho Cliq video calls, regardless of where the participant joins or answers the call from.

In other words, 1:1 calls should offer the same video capabilities as scheduled meetings, across all Zoho entry points.
