Hey, everyone!
It's just another day at Zoho Social, except we're bringing out some nifty little features to make things a little bit easier for you. We constantly try to improve our product in order to give you the best experience, and that includes regularly updating our current features to help you get the most out of our product.
On that note, allow me to introduce the advanced keyword search in the monitor tab for twitter. There are some pretty cool things that you can do with this, and I'm going to walk you through all of them.

- Filter tweets based on content
Earlier, in the Keyword Search column in Monitor, you'd have been able to only look for tweets that contain a particular word or a few specific words. With this update, you can now filter tweets based on their content. Suppose you're interested in tweets that contain images, or videos, or tweets that contain a link or contain any media- just click on the drop-down menu, and under the "Filter Search" option, you will be able to find content that you feel is most relevant to your brand.
- Exclude keywords from the search
Instead of looking at ALL the tweets that relate to the keyword you've chosen, there may be times when you're looking to exclude a particular word from your results. Let's assume you're monitoring your brand, and you want to see if there are any tweets that are critical of your business- you can type in "awesome" or "amazing" or any other superlative in the "Exclude" box under the "Filter Search" option. Although we hope you'll always find fewer search results with the positive keywords filtered out!
- Filter tweets based on languages
Sometimes, people may be tweeting in their native language, or in languages that are not English, and they could still be saying things that are relevant to your business. Can't miss out on that, can we? The advanced keyword search for twitter gives you the option of filtering tweets based on languages- and there are 61 languages you can choose from. Pretty nifty. If you want to see what the indigenous tribes of Canada are tweeting about your product- we've still got you covered.
Because who wants to see the same tweet multiple times, right? People retweet things all the time, and if a tweet you're looking for has been retweeted- well you may feel like it's cluttering your column. With the exclude retweet option, you can ensure that only the original tweet shows up in your feed, while the retweets are excluded- leaving your monitor column clutter free.
- Filter by tweeter tweet author
Is tweeter a word? Or is it Tweet owner? Tweety bird? Well, that's a debate for another day. The point is- you can now filter tweets based on the person who's made them. You can also look for tweets that are posted by a specific person, by yourself, or by any verified profile. This makes it easier for you to see what specific people feel about your brand.
Now, you can also filter tweets based on the profiles that they mention. If you're a travel-based agency that's tracking "holiday" in the monitor tab, you can now go a step further and also track tweets that contain the word "holiday" and also mention your brand. The filter by mentions can also be set up to track tweets that mention any other specific user as well, so you can keep tabs on whether your competition is being mentioned in the tweets you're looking for.
You can now track tweets based on the location they were made from. Want to know what people in the middle east think about your product? Just use the location filter. So now, if you REALLY want to know what the indigenous tribes of Canada think about your product, but you suspect that they may be tweeting in English- just use the location filter. Ah-ha!
There are also no restrictions on the number of advanced filters you can use while searching for a tweet- which means you can search for tweets made from your hometown that include images, are not retweets, mention your brand, and are made in your mother tongue. You now have full control on what kind of tweets you want to see. The possibilities are endless.
That's all we have on the advanced filters front.
There are also a couple of other little changes that we've done- we've moved the calendar. You'll now see it as a filter when you're looking at your scheduled posts. Simply choose a date on the calendar, and you'll be able to see the list of posts that are scheduled to be posted on that date.

We also have a pretty useful update for those who have integrated Zoho Social with Zoho CRM (If you haven't, why not?) You'll now directly be able to view your CRM Contacts/Leads in CRM. When you view a Contact/Lead, you will see a link that says "View in CRM" just under the name. This option is also available in the contact pop-ups that you'll see throughout the product. So now, if you want to get more detailed information, or if you want to take any action directly from CRM, just click this link and voila! You're all set.
