Mandatory Messages for Specific Members in Zoho Cliq Channels

We hope you're doing well.

We would like to request a feature enhancement to Zoho Cliq that would allow marking certain messages in a channel as mandatory for specific members — with built-in tracking and reminders.


🎯 Use Case:

In important operational or compliance-related discussions, not every channel message needs to be seen by all members — but some must be acknowledged by specific individuals.

We need a structured way to target specific members and ensure they’ve read a message.


✅ Requested Feature:

We would like a new message option in Zoho Cliq channels:

  1. Mark as Mandatory for Selected Users

    • While sending or after sending a message, allow the sender to select specific users for whom the message is mandatory.

  2. Read Confirmation Tracking

    • Show which of the selected members have read and acknowledged the message.

  3. Automated Reminders

    • Send automatic reminders (e.g., private messages or notifications) to those who haven’t confirmed reading the message after a configurable time interval.

  4. Admin/Owner Access

    • Allow channel admins to monitor and manage mandatory message status and confirmations.


This feature would significantly improve accountability and ensure critical communications are not overlooked.
