Tips and Tricks 8: Hyperlinking images

Hello everyone,

Today we will see how to hyperlink your images to navigate visitors to another page on the event microsite or even to a different website. Images added in the Image and text and Testimonial custom section or images that are uploaded as a logo can be linked to more online information. Linking images can provide useful details to microsite visitors without cluttering the current page or shifting focus off the existing content.

After you upload an image to any Image and text or Testimonial custom section, or as a logo, hover over the image and click the Edit icon. This will display the Edit image dialog box. Here you will be allowed to link your image in three ways:

To a page on the event microsite
To an external URL
To the portal's event listing page

When you select the External URL and Event listing options, you can also select the Open in new tab checkbox if needed.

To remove the link from the image and go back to the default setting, simply click the None option in the Edit image dialog box.

Once you are done, click the Save button and publish the changes to your live microsite. Hyperlinked images will look the same as any other image; however, when visitors hover over these images, the mouse pointer will be modified to a hand pointer, showing that the image is hyperlinked.
