I'm very experienced in project management software in my professional life. Our family is looking for a consumer/small business level product we can use for complicated projects we do - like remodeling, landscaping, family office project and other types of projects. Hello I have heard that you cannot restrict the access rights for different types of users. For example if you want to restrict lower level employees seeing different content of a project. Or if client has access, they see EVERYTHING. We are thinking of changing to Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects, however we need to control some level of information. Hello, I have a suggestion which i think is very easy for your team to make it happen. When you look to a blocked task by a predecessor task or you look to the predecessor task what is next you have to copy-paste the title of the task to zoho projects search all modules tool to find them. You can make it a hyperlink to the task so we can find it with just a click. Hi: Right now you can click Home (actually your logo as Home is not clickable) which defaults to Feed on the left menu. Then if you want 'Activity Stream' (which IMHO is better than the Feed as it shows all actions but nevertheless) you click the 'gear icon' to switch it. Hi! We are managing over 600 projects at the same time (+ we have 500 archived projects) and we have grouped them in almost 15 groups (1-4 groups per department). Work Hours auto-population and validation
I am setting up the work hours functionality and i have one question and one suggestion. I can not set as mandatory the field and i can not do it not even in the blueprint. Is there any way to validate this field or is something out of standard fields? i checked a workaround via a custom field formula saying if work hours < 0.01 return 'work field is empty'. I'm finding that managing files is difficult in Zoho Projects. There isn't 1 central "bucket" where all files live and can be referenced if they are uploaded inside a task or forum conversation. Timesheet in Zoho Projects helps you big time in entering log hours for the tasks and issues and approving them. Now, with the new Time Log Restriction option, you can set daily and weekly log hour limits. You can restrict users from entering extra log hours than the permissible limit. The limits are restricted to 24 hours per day and 168 hours per week by default based on business hours. I believe that sorting of tasks helps managing the activities in a better fashion. You might second it too . By default, the tasks are listed chronologically. However, you can sort the tasks either by its title, start date, end date, priority, created by and percentage completion.
