Generate an App-specific Password

What is TFA (Two factor Authentication)?

TFA adds a layer of security for your email account as your email and password is not enough for you to login. An unique code will be sent to the registered mobile number and you will be granted access upon submitting the verification code.

If you have two-factor authentication enabled for your email account, then you must generate the app-specific password for configuring your email with Bigin and not your regular password.

To generate app specific password for Zoho Mail

Sign in to your Zoho account.
Go to Security > App Passwords.
Click Generate New Password.
In the Application-Specific Passwords pop-up, enter the App Name and click Generate.
Copy the Application-Specific Password.
The password will not be displayed again.
You may Delete any password, if you no longer use the app or to remove access to the application.

Note

The device/app name that you enter, is for your reference only. It is not to be considered as the Username.
