Introducing teamspaces and team modules in Zoho CRM mobile app

Hello everyone,

We have an exciting update to share in the Zoho CRM mobile app. As part of CRM For Everyone—a new set of features that reflect our vision to democratize CRM and make it accessible for all—teamspaces and team modules are now available on mobile devices.



What are teamspaces? 

Teamspaces are dedicated spaces in Zoho CRM where each team can have their own set of modules, keeping their work organized and separate from other teams.

In the mobile app, teamspaces enable you to: 

  • View and access your teamspace directly from the app.
  • See only the modules, records, and data relevant to your team.
  • Easily switch between different teamspaces (if you're part of multiple teamspaces). 
Note:
  • Ensure your Teamspace is set up in Zoho CRM web to access it on mobile. 
  • "CRM Teamspace" is your default teamspace and shows all the modules to which you have access. 
 

What are team modules?  

Team modules are user-managed modules that are only accessible to the users added to them. Unlike regular CRM modules, which are managed by CRM admins, team modules are fully managed by a team module admin.

Note: Team modules are denoted by the Notes icon. 
 

In the mobile app, team modules enable you to: 

  • Access and manage records in your team module based on your team module profile permissions.
  • Quickly add and track requests using the My Requests tab.

Users who are added as requesters via the Zoho CRM web app can raise requests—submitted as records—to the team modules they’re assigned to.

Imagine you're a salesperson at Zylker Cakes, handling all incoming orders for cakes and pastries. To ensure smooth order fulfillment, you often need to coordinate with other teams like the kitchen and delivery teams. Since these teams don’t need full access to the CRM like the sales team does, they can be added to team modules in your CRM.
 
Once you’re added as a requester in these team modules, you can:
  • Raise a request to the kitchen team when a new order is received.
  • Send a request to the delivery team once the cake is prepared.

This setup helps you avoid switching between multiple communication tools or relying on manual updates. Everything happens right inside the CRM, making collaboration easier.
