Pin multiple columns and adjust column widths in CRM subforms

Hello all,

Subforms act as secondary forms or tables in which you can associate multiple line items to a primary record and thereby ensure more structured and comprehensive data organization. We've made some recent enhancements to subforms.

Here's what's new

Imagine a client's sales team manages client orders through subforms in their CRM. These subforms include crucial pieces of data like product names, quantities, prices, delivery dates, and so on. As the list grows, it becomes harder to keep track of essential details like product name or total price while scrolling through other information.

To address these challenges, we've now added two new options for subform columns: pinning columns and adjusting column width.

Pin multiple columns on subforms

This option enables you to pin important columns within subforms. As a result, you can scroll through the subform more conveniently to review additional details without losing sight of key information.

For instance, when managing the product details in a deal, you can pin columns such as Product Name, Quantity, or Price to ensure they stay in view while you navigate through other columns like Delivery Date or Order Status.

Admins can simply click on the pin icon near the column header to pin the column in place as they scroll through the subform.

  • Note: You can pin up to three columns.

Adjustable column widths for subform fields

This option enables administrators to customize the width of subform columns according to specific needs, such as the need to resize fields to accommodate the amount of data they contain, expand fields that need more space, or condense fields that need less.

By adjusting the width of each column, users can eliminate the need for excessive horizontal scrolling and achieve a cleaner, more efficient interface.

Notes:
  • The options to pin multiple columns and adjust column widths are currently accessible at the admin level, but we are planning future updates that will allow user-level customization.
  • This customization is layout-specific, meaning adjustments made in one layout won't affect others.
That's all for this enhancement! Please share your feedback in the comments below.

These enhancements are currently available for users in all data centers, except IN and US
