Request for Auto PO - Min–Max based Automated Purchase Feature

Dear Zoho POS Team,

I’m writing to request a feature enhancement that would significantly streamline inventory management for businesses using Zoho POS — particularly supermarkets, FMCG retail, and multi-store operations like ours.

Feature Requested:

Min Quantity & Max Quantity based Automated Purchase Order Generation

Purpose:

To automatically calculate purchase requirements based on predefined Min Stock Level (Reorder Point) and Max Stock Level (Ideal Stock Limit), and generate Purchase Orders accordingly.

How the Feature Should Work

  1. Each SKU will have two additional fields:

    • Min Qty (Reorder Point)

    • Max Qty (Target Stock Level)

  2. When Current Stock ≤ Min Qty, the system should automatically compute:

Purchase Qty = Max Qty – Current Stock

  1. The system should then generate a PO draft (or multiple POs vendor-wise) with all SKUs that fall below the Min Qty threshold.

  2. Allow daily/weekly auto-runs or manual trigger.



Our Business Context

We operate supermarkets with ~8,000 SKUs and high daily movement. Manual stock tracking is inefficient and leads to delayed purchase decisions. Automating this using Min–Max logic would raise our operational efficiency and ensure more accurate replenishment.


Expected Outcome

A dedicated module in Zoho POS where:

  • Min & Max Qty can be set per SKU

  • System calculates purchasing requirements

  • Auto-generated PO drafts appear vendor-wise

  • Option to review and approve POs

  • Option to send POs to Zoho Inventory / Zoho Books
