Efficient payment collection is crucial for business success. Bigin already helps your businesses manage and sell products effectively, but we can further enhance this by making payment collection easier. This integrated payment feature lets you create and send payment links from Bigin to your customers, making payment collection easier.
To get started with this feature, you can connect a payment gateway of your choice based on your geographical location.
Once you've connected a payment gateway account in Bigin, click on the Collect Payment button on the deal record page to start creating payment links.
You can accept three types of payments:
From the amount field: This type collects the amount listed in the amount field in the deal record. If you have multiple currency fields in your account, you can choose the fields from the provided picklist.
Fixed amount: You can enter a fixed amount that your customer needs to pay, but remember—it cannot be changed once the link is created.
Decided by customer: With this payment type, your customers choose the amount they want to pay and you define a minimum amount that can be paid. You can use this field in scenarios like collecting donations.
You can also add due dates and a grace period when creating your payment links. If no grace period is configured, the payment link will expire on the due date. If a grace period is added, the link will expire on the due date plus the number of days specified in the grace period. For example, if the due date is June 15, and the grace period is 10 days, the link will expire on June 25.
The status of payments is updated accordingly in the related list under each record that has a payment link attached to it.
