Organizing Knowledge Base Content with Accordions and Tabs

Hello everyone,

Breaking down extensive content into bite-sized information improves comprehension and readability. Proper organization and structurization of content is vital in helping readers understand. 

We have tried to implement these factors in Knowledge base by introducing two useful formatting options that will help with a crisper presentation of content and improved navigation:
  • Accordion 
  • Tab 

Accordion

Accordion allows to format the content into collapsible sections. Readers must click to view the content to ensure the length of the document is minimal and the readers can click and read the topics they want to explore. 

Accordions can be used in two formats: Card View and List View

List View


Tabs

Variety of content can be put together as tabs, that allows readers to switch between different sections without leaving the page, providing efficient experience and easier navigation. Cast amount of content can be organized in a single page using multiple tabs to reduce the page length.

Tabs can be used in two formats: Card View and Line View

Line view


Accordion and Tab can be accessed in the KB editor under the Insert option. 


This enhancement is now available for all users across DC.
