Zoho and Avalara - Marketplace Order Handling

Zoho and Avalara - Marketplace Order Handling

Hi, we currently utilize the Zoho Books and Avalara connector to extract transactions and track taxes in AvaTax (Avalara).

As it currently stands, our marketplaces, (Etsy, Amazon, Walmart), are directly integrated with Zoho for order fulfillment.

Somehow either the Zoho connector, or Avalara, knows which transaction is marketplace, and which is not. Marketplace sourced orders do not have transactions created for them in Avalara, as designed, because the marketplaces are liable for the sales tax. Direct sales of course when created in Zoho DO have transaction created for them in Avalara, as expected.

We plan to utilize CartRover to collect and conventionalize orders from all sources, and THEN push the orders to Zoho. In testing I found that these orders (Sourced from CartRover) DO have transactions created for them in Avalara, because they are not marked as Marketplace orders.

I have been back and forth with Zoho and Avalara support over the past 2 months and cannot solve this issue. I need to know what field to populate to tell either the connector to not push the order, or so that Avalara recognizes it as a Marketplace transaction.

Another route to go would be to use Avalara's custom advanced rules, but I can't for the life of me figure out if what fields in Zoho map to which fields in Avalara, and if there even is a field that I can utilize in the rule.

Any help here would be appreciated greatly, Thanks a bunch.
