Here’s an exciting announcement. Zoho Vault community has transitioned to a new platform and we we'd like to discuss this transition with you.
Why the change?
Our community was earlier hosted on Zoho Discussions, which is now EOL'd. Besides, we thought it's time for a makeover.
The new platform.
We’ve transitioned to Zoho Desk. Apart from an improved UI, the new platform comes with some major enhancements. Zoho Desk bundles help desk, user community and knowledge base, all in a single portal. You no longer need to check multiple portals for support and community engagement.
What this transition means for you.
We've migrated the existing conversations to the new portal and all the old forum threads are redirected to the new portal. Here are some important points worth noting:
- Access the all new Zoho Community at help.zoho.com/portal/en/community or community.zoho.com.
- You'd be prompted to log into the new platform. Continue to log in with your existing credentials.
- The new platform is powered by Zoho’s single sign-on. You don’t have to log into community once again if you're already logged into any of the Zoho services.
- Your profile on our community now reflects all your support tickets and community contributions.
- The new platform is gamified. During the course of next couple of weeks, we'll gamify your participations - including all your previous participation - by adding points, badges, and levels. Follow this thread for further updates.
- On the UI front, the old platform showed 25 discussions in a single view and you'd have had to click 'next' to view the older discussions. The new platform shows all the topics in a single view and the older topics keep loading as you scroll down.
Some limitations:
- Just incase you've different accounts for Zoho Community and Zoho Services, do log into the Zoho Community on a different browser or an incognito window.
- As a few more updates have to be made to the profiles migration, some of you might find your posts awaiting moderation. You'll not be able to see the posts made earlier on this community. We are working on addressing this as early as possible. Should be updated in a day or two.

It may just be me, but when I am writing an email to a lead, I find inserting a hyperlink very time consuming. Granted, I can use templates but there are a ton of scenarios where I might want to put a link in to an website that wouldnt require me to go though the effort of creating a template.
