HTML View Scope
If I have a stateless form embedded in an html view, is it possible to get that form's input from the HTML View's script? I know I can process the stateless form in its own script, and send the input through parameters of the HTML View, but is it possible to just use something like <input.statelessFormField> within the HTML View's script directly? I always get a variable not declared message of some sort when trying to access the stateless form's input directly from the HTML View script.
accessing lookup fields inside On Edit -> On Load section of a form?
Hi Zoho developers, Is it possible to access lookup fields inside On Edit -> On Load section of a form? I can see lookup fields can be access for On Edit-> On Success. I've tried using Form_Name[ID == input.lookup_field_name] but it did not work. Please can someone help me! Lori
Simplest question of the day: vis Zoho Creator backups
Here's an easy one - just a yes or no. Can anyone out there tell me if the record limit (we have a Zoho Enterprise account) includes the number of records held in back up copies? Oddly, this doesn't seem to be spelled out anywhere. I would have assumed the answer is no, but we're trying to work out why we've used up so many records. Thanks a mill for anyone who has the answer.
Multiple Documents
Is it possible to place multiple documents in a database, i have over 900 clients and i collect multiple documents for each clent, i want to know if there is a way to place these documents in the database wihtout placing multiple file upload buttons. This is the way i am currently doing it, but there must be an easier more simpler way of doing this, if you answer can you please also list the steps on how to do it.
Customer Portal -- customized to retrieve customer info?
Is there a way to to have an "open" customer portal (i.e. allows anyone to sign up) that requires/collects more information than just email address and password? For instance, when people log into my customer portal, I need to collect their names, emails, company names, etc. Is this possible?
report with data from related forms
Hello, 1) I'm able to generate a report with data from parent form. But is it also possible to add fields from grand parent forms or forms not directly linked by lookup field, but INDIRECTLY related by lookup fields? 2) Is it possible to use related fields in the pivot chart report? I only get a list of fields from the form that I select as base, not from linked ones. And also again, is the same logic as point 1 valid for pivot charts? Thank you
Error Message when Changing Field Name
I am trying to add a multi line field in my form. It adds the field, but when I try and change the name, I get this error when it tries to save. I tried modifying other forms and everything works fine, it just occurs on this form. All other fields prior to this one saved fine. I also tried to add different types of fields and got the same error for them.

Lookup field within same form?
I have a complicated problem I'm trying to solve with lookup forms. Let's say I have three forms: Concerts, Pieces, and Composers. Pieces is related to Concerts (there are pieces in concerts) and Composers is related to Pieces (composers write pieces). Pivot Chart: compare actual value of 1 record with Avg, Min, Max of entire column
Hello - as the title suggests I would like to make a scatter plot (or any chart that will display what I want to visualize), which plots the Avg, Min, and Max of values in a column, and then plot 1 value from a particular record from the same column. For instance there are 20 test scores - the Avg, Min, and Max of all test scores are plotted - also little Johnnys particular scores is plotted on the same chart so he can see how he compares to the Avg, Min, Max. All reports involving this field will be lost!
When looking to delete a field in a form I created, I receive the following message: "Data corresponding to this field and all reports involving this field will be lost. Do you really want to delete this field?" Is there any way to delete a field from a form without losing all the reports I've spent so much time creating?! Whilst I understand any data captured by a field in a form will be lost, I don't understand why all reports created are also deleted. Why can't the field just also be removed
Invalid Entry keeps popping up
Suddenly, after using ZOHO Creator for several years on 10 databases, I am beginning to get "Invalid Entry. Please correct and submit again". This occurs in a RTF field. If I delete a user, will the records they added also be deleted?
Just want to double check before I delete a user that the 100 records that they added to the application won't be deleted as well. Can anyone clarify for me please?
How to make data field unchangable for user?
Some data fields I have scripted to calculate themselves automatically(using different dates), using different date. I am using script like this: if input.main_date != null { input.purchase_date = input.main_date.subweek(2); } What I would like to achieve is to disable those data fields from being edited by the user. So for data fields that are calculated automatically using the script above, I would like to make them non-editable by user (so only automation affects them). Is this possible?
Order Id
Hi, Im trying to create an order management system. Each order should have a number but this number is consecutive for the department, where the order belongs to. For example, if the latest order from Human Resources is #8, the new order will be #9. But if the latest order from Production is #20, the new order will be #21. The idea is that the order number is automatically generated after you select the department. I appreciate your help so I can achieve this.
Show edits on form update
When a form is updated, is there any way for the sendmail function to identify what changes are made? For example, for a task list if the user changes a deadline, the automated email would identify which field was modified and how.

Pass Value to the Next Form
I have Form 'Students Information'. In that form, I have field 'Name' and 'Batch Number'. In the next form - Form Training Information', instead of using lookup, I still have the 'Name' and 'Batch Number' fields, but I want the value from Form 'Students Information' to be retained in this form. How to do this?
Signature Field/Internet Exporer/Iframe Issue
Hello all, I published one of our forms using the public permissions and embedded it using the Iframe embed code. The form contains the signature field as we wish it to be used as a formal application. On testing, I found that the signature worked great on Chrome and Firefox but not on Internet Explorer. When I log into IE direct, the signature field works fine. Is there a solution or workaround for this problem? IE version is 11. Thanks, Scott

Hi, I`m new to Zoho CRM. I need to show a warning on button press but only once for the first button press. This sounds really simple but yet I can't figure out how to do it in Zoho Creator as all variables seems to have local scope so I can't determine if the button was pressed before. I've been searching if there are global variables in Zoho but found only workarounds with creating another applications for that case. Upload Records from Excel and maintain Form/Sub-Form relationship
I want to create a form for Customers with a Contacts sub-form. I have all of the Customers and related Contacts in Excel to migrate to Creator. How can I upload into Creator so the relationships stay in tact? Can this be done? Will they maintain the same relationship format as if I am adding a new record from the form input?

I need to set a number or currency field based on another value. My if condition is working perfectly fine but I cannot get the correct syntax to set a numeric field using the script. I can set the text fields perfectly fine. Sendmail Feature Different in Forms from Functions
Why is the SENDMAIL feature different in FORMS then in FUNCTIONS? Example, you can not attached or include a Template when using SENDMAIL in a Function. What I'm trying to do is include the Custom Record Summary with a function request. This function request I need the template included is used during a Custom Action definition. Identifying when sendmail() didn't suceed
Hello - It's previously been established that occasionally the sendmail() script does not result in an email message being sent. In several posts to this forum, Zoho Support has replied to sendmail() problems as "potentially an intermittent issue, please try it again". I'm curious if anyone has determined the best way to confirm that the sendmail() functioned correctly so that a user or admin could manually re-fire the sendmail() function at a later time. Error reported when changing Field Name
I recently added a field on an existing form. The field was added and it shows up fine but the Field name is set to "Single Line". When I change the name to something more meaningful it displays "Saving Changes ..." at the top of the page and then eventually displays a pop up saying "Exception occured while publishing message to the topic :: [DataModelTopic]". Drop Down filter based on loginUserid
I am filtering a dropdown based on a field in the form - ForemanUserID if the current zohologinuserid == ForemanUserID the job should show in the dropdown. This works initially. When I log in as another user however, I see the list from the former user. Do I need to clear this list - somehow? This is on a subform. Additionally - this dropdown is used to filter the selection on the next field - also a dropdown. Don't know if this is relevant..
Json feed mime type issue
Internet Explorer 11 (I did not tested other versions) currently blocks ZC json feeds in Ajax requests (for example, when it's used with JQuery getJSON() and probably the ZCML script proposed by Stephen here because it is also based on JSON feed parsing) and the issue is a type mismatch. Auto Number
Hi, I am trying have an auto number field that is displayed when adding/editing a record. Our reference numbers are in the format: B-879 and increase by 1 each time. When it gets to B-999 the next record is C-000. Is it possible to do this? Any help much appreciated. Thanks,
