  Hello It's not uncommon for me to delay creating a PO or delay receiving against a PO until a later date when I have time to do data entry.  I'll then simply backdate the PO or the receiving doc, but still make the product available for sale on my site allow for negative quantities in inventory.  While this isn't ideal, it is what it is and it works for me.
