Important updates to the payment gateway integrations

Important updates to the payment gateway integrations

Greetings from the Zoho Bookings team!

We have a few important updates to the payment gateway integrations that allow you to collect online payments for your appointments.

The following payment gateways will be updated, and we encourage you to make the necessary changes for seamless payment processing.

PayPal

The current version follows a basic authentication model, and PayPal has suggested its users migrate to the new version, which is based on OAuth Authentication. This ensures a high level of protection for your transactions.

What to do

You'll need to migrate your PayPal connection to the new version. To do so:

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Payments.

  2. Hover over PayPal, click Migrate, and perform the necessary steps shown.

Timeline: PayPal is yet to announce a deadline for the old version support, but it is advisable to update at your earliest convenience.

Forte

Forte has announced that the backend integrations for the current version will be deprecated, and users need to migrate to a newer version that adopts an advanced system for enhanced security.

What to do

You'll need to migrate your Forte connection to the new version.

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Payments.

  2. Hover over Forte, click Migrate, and perform the necessary steps shown.

Timeline: Existing Forte version will be supported until November 30, 2024.

PayflowPro and PaymentPro

PayPal has announced deprecation for both the PayflowPro and PaymentPro payment gateways. These gateways will stop working once PayPal announces the sunset date.

What to do

You'll need to remove the respective integration and use any other supported payment gateways.

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Payments.

  2. Hover over PayflowPro or PaymentPro and click Remove. This removes the respective payment gateway. Now, you can integrate any other payment gateway.

Timeline: PayPal has not yet announced a date for this deprecation, and transactions will continue until that date is decided.

We urge all users of the above payment gateways to perform the necessary action to prevent any interruptions in processing your online payments.
