Hello, Enterprise Support Community,
We're pleased to announce that a feature that has been requested for some time has been enabled for Beta access in Sandbox environments - our new ZDK CLI (Zoho Development Kit Command Line Interface) tools!
ZDK CLI is a set of CLI tools that you can use to interact with and manage your CRM org metadata in a developer-friendly way. It can be used to:
- Retrieve supported configurations and widgets from your organization.
- Make changes to the retrieved metadata and push those changes to your organization.
- Manage widgets from CLI and push it to your organization.
If you are a developer customizing your Zoho CRM and want to track these changes in your preferred Version Control System (VCS) like Git, Mercurial, etc., ZDK CLI offers a platform to accomplish this. With ZDK CLI, your developers can collaborate easily for their development using their preferred VCS and integrate with existing CI/CD pipelines.
If you are a Zoho CRM partner or developer, ZDK CLI facilitates the export of a set of metadata pertaining to a use case, which in turn can be pushed to any CRM org. It enhances easier inter-CRM metadata movement.
ZDK CLI is available in Enterprise, CRM Plus, Ultimate, and Zoho One editions including trial editions.
Notes
- For the current beta release, ZDK CLI will exclusively be available for Sandbox environment and will not be operational in Production environments. In the event of encountering issues subsequent to implementing changes in the Sandbox, it is recommended to rebuild the sandbox.
- In the current beta release, ZDK CLI supports Profiles, Roles, Modules, Fields, Layouts and Widgets.

What does all of this mean for you? With ZDK CLI, your Developers can now retrieve data from your org and store it in your preferred VCS platform, collaborate together with others on making any necessary changes to the metadata (either updating existing or creating new), review the changes and then deploy them back to your CRM org, all while maintaining data and version integrity, all from the command line.

We hope you're able to leverage these new tools to get even more out of your CRM. If you have any questions or feedback about the new ZDK CLI tools, please respond here or submit a ticket to your Enterprise Support email address and let us know.
