Enabling 'From Number' and 'To Number' fields in the Calls module

Hello everyone,

We've added "To Number" and "From Number" fields in the Calls module as part of our latest update to provide users with the option to enable or disable them through the Calls Preferences tab



When enabled, these fields will be displayed in the call layout, and when disabled, they'll be hidden. The "From Number" field captures the caller's phone number, while the "To Number" field holds the recipient's phone number. These fields are essential for effective call tracking, logging, and reporting.



This makes the Calls module more flexible by enabling users to adjust it based on their needs. For instance, those in telephonic sales or customer support might want to keep these fields visible, while others who handle internal calls might choose to hide them. 

By logging the caller's and recipient's phone numbers, users can keep accurate records of interactions, whether for customer service, internal communication, or team coordination. This helps ensure calls are documented properly, which improves accountability, performance tracking, and decision-making. 

Notes
Note:
  • If a telephony integration is active, the "To Number" and "From Number" fields will be included in the calls layout automatically and enabled in the Calls Preference tab after a call record is created via phone.
  • When these fields are marked as required, they can't be disabled.
  • For calendar bookings, enabling the "To Number" field is mandatory.
