With over 14 million users, Mastodon has shown tremendous growth—especially over the last few months. The main reason is that Mastodon is a completely de-centralized open source platform that consists of various servers. Every server has its own set of guidelines, and users can join a server of their choice to be part of Mastodon. It's not owned by an individual or a company and is operated independently.
Another important aspect of Mastodon is that there are no ads or algorithms to curate content for the users. In a time where users are overwhelmed by numerous ads everywhere they go, or whatever they see, Mastodon's ad-free approach has piqued interest, driving users to explore and leverage the platform.

Publish or schedule your posts
Once you connect your Mastodon server with Zoho Social, you can start drafting your content and publish it right away. You can also get the help of Zia—Generative AI powered by ChatGPT—to help you come up with an interesting caption.
If you want the post to be published at a later time, you can choose the appropriate date and time and even choose to repeat the post every week or month. Apart from that, you can also select a time slot from your pre-defined queue or the SmartQ time slot suggested for your post, which guarantees better engagement by understanding how your audience has interacted with your previous posts.
Visualize your publishing schedule
The publishing Calendar in Zoho Social lets you visualize all your scheduled posts at a glance. It helps paint a picture of your entire content strategy, and you can also create a post right from the Calendar. If you feel like there are too many posts scheduled on a selected date, you can easily drag and drop the post to another date of your choice.
Publish posts in bulk
When you have a series of posts that are crafted to engage your community on Mastodon, you can go ahead and schedule them in one go. Just upload them in a CSV file, and all your posts will be scheduled and ready. This helps you save the time that you spend in manually creating all these posts individually.
Leverage the power of hashtag groups
Hashtags play a major role in helping the audience find the content that they're looking for in Mastodon. They help you reach out to people with similar interests and boost engagement. - Favorites: The number of times the post has been added to the favorites list.
- Replies: The number of replies to the post.
- Re-blogs: The number of times the post has been re-shared by Mastodon users.
- Total Engagements: The total number of replies, re-blogs, and favorites received for your post.
- Engagement Distribution: A pie chart that depicts the distribution of engagements on the post such as favorites, re-blogs, and replies.
