I am new to ZOHO. I have searched the forums high and low on ways to accomplish the two things I still have yet to accomplish. Problem 1: I have a large Excel sheet I have created for our company. The purpose of this is to allow each branch to login, input their day's end data, and hit save. This creates a centralized file that our account manager can pull from each morning. We have 30+ stores in 3 different states, so the format is categorized. I have the first initial sheet asking "WHAT STATE"
Call ext. variable in a cell (zoho sheet), passed in url
public.sheet.zoho.com/public/dllorens/test?varTest=Dan I want to pass the sheet a variable in the URL. for example, in the one above, I want to pass it the variable "varTest" and have the value = "Dan" I want to call this variable from a cell on the page and have it display "Dan" in the cell. Please tell me how to do this, I've been reading forms for an hour and I feel like an idiot
Sheet Error

Date entry
I am a new user of Zoho Sheet. I imported an Excel file which has a custom date format (d mmm yy) set for one column. When using Excel on my computer I type 9/4 in a cell in the column to get '9 Apr 08'. If I do this in the Zoho sheet, however, I get '4 Sep 08'. In preferences, the date is set to 'dd/MM/yy'. Is there any way I can get an entry like '9/4' to give me the result I want? wallan
Legend labels
I've made a bunch of charts in ZOHO and when I turn the legend on each series color/marker appears in the legend with a number beside it. How can I make that number a label instead? Thanks, Ted
How To import xls data in EXISTING zoho creator form ?
Hello, I'm starting to manage my Job Hunting via Zohio creator !..in order to swith from a MS Access base I had. The final goal would be to share the application for free with other unemployed... I have a COMPANY form filled with around 50 rows. I want to add more ! An MS Excel file has been sent to me by email with a list of around 100 more companies and contacts. Misaligned cells
Every two months I come back to Zoho to see if the bug of misaligned cells has been fixed, but after one year the situation is still the same. If I clic the row 6 of my sheet, for instance, the row 7 is selected instead. Tell me how I can invite you to my sheet as it really seems incredible to me that this issue hasn't been fixed yet.
Character encoding
I can not get proper character displaying in the worksheet at English Windows XP environment although I tried every encoding in the View. In Chinese Windows system it display Chinese. Is there anyway I can have English display? Thanks John
Row Heights not in synch
Hi, If I am using wordwrap in cells, then some rows are higher than others depending on the amount of text in a cell. If I now cut the whole row, insert a new row elsewhere and paste the cut row into that new space, the UI gets a little out of synch. The row numbers on the left are offset from the actual row and this makes it very difficult to continue navigating & selecting. The only workaround I have is to close the whole sheet, then open it again to let the UI refresh. Just add it to your list

Function Fx =now()
Formulas =now() is not the time of my region it is a difference of 7 hours. It do not update when a other cell has change, only when you hit F9 recalc it updates. Think servertime and date. vdmfrankvdm

MS Office Plugin/ Shared Sheets
Is it possible to use the Office plugin to share sheets so everyone can update it from Excel? Currently, only the sheets you author are visible when you open a Zoho sheet in Excel not the sheets that are shared with you. Also, I posted this last week on the forum but the post disapeared. Freeze or lock titles
There seems to be no way to do this in Zoho Sheet. This is a must with large spreadsheets. Big show stopper. I will check back from time to time to see if this feature has been added. longhollow

Sharing improvements
I have a couple of small nits (not sure if you would consider them bugs) regarding sharing a spreadsheet (probably applies to sharing in general): - It would be nice to share a document with people, without sending an email--perhaps just give a link that I can paste to them, or just have them be able to log in and see the shared document without getting an email from Zoho - If I want to update the permission of a shared spreadsheet for a specific person, I need to update each page separately. Way to make it so the public can not edit the sheet?
Hi there, I am new to Zoho and am playing around with the sheet features. So far so good. I just uploaded and made public a random excel spreadsheet and then logged out to view how the public would see it. I was able to add to the cells even when not logged in. Is this a feature that can be suppressed? Or is it something that will just be on their spreadsheet?
Excel Add-ons don't show up in Zoho?
I have the tinycharts add-on for excel that I would love to see show up in Zoho charts to share. Any chance I am overlooking the setting for that? Or is it not possible? Thanks!

I am new user of zoho, it's great. but I want to know if zoho sheet is exactly same with ms excel. as I have some excel spread sheets with lots of function and calculation and VBA code in it. if I just simply upload this file, can it works properly or I must rewrite my excel sheets to make it work on zoho.

Extra space being published
I use the "Publish Range" function and love it. The trouble I'm having is that it is constantly adding blank space below the embedded range, so my blog shows blank space between the table and the next set of text. I use Wordpress to publish my blog. Is this a Wordpress issue or a Zoho issue? Thanks, Red Renee

Trouble importing web data
Hello, Is there a limit to the size of a data file that can be pulled into Zoho Sheet? I am trying to create a live-updating spreadsheet of election results in Minnesota, U.S., based on data that will be updated every 15 minutes on election night. problems linking sometimes blank creator tables to sheet
Hi, I have a problem that I am trying to link a creator table to automatically load to a sheet program at cell A3, however due to criteria on the table, sometimes the creator table is empty. When this happens it seems to delete the sheet column where the link was. This then causes problems when the data appears in the table. Can you get this corrected please. moanazoho

Hello, Is it possible to create a doc in writer, with some boutons (or shortcut) associated to a scenario template. Because, when you write a scenario (movie script), we need to write quickly with the right form, for example: the title sequence, description for action, name of character, dialogue... So i don't now if we can create this kind of doc (with bouton vs macro command)? May be, some one has created this template?

Every two minutes, I get internal error in Zoho Show
Every two minutes I get a JavaScript MessageBox stating that an internal error occured. Close your sheet and reopen again. The save button very often hangs. This happens very much high in MSIE 7.0. Can some one look into this showstopper bug?

I have just signed up to zoho and will probably start using it, we have a ski resort, and provide ski lessons to our customers, we use an excel sheet for managing lesson orders, we will use zoho sheet for our own use, so that our personel can fill in new orders via zoho sheet.
