Zoho Corporation has come up with a number of updates in the Zoho CRM platform just like each year. These new updates are expected to continue helping users seamlessly run their business operations with the new technologies.
In the blog, we will have a detailed look at the latest releases and updates in Zoho CRM while understanding how these updates can help.
Activities Module Divided Into Tasks, Calls, and Meetings
The Tasks, Calls, and Meetings modules in the Zoho CRM are useful in giving a detailed perspective of the sales activities that are performed for a prospect. In the prospect’s record, one can find the follow-up calls, email conversations, meetings, etc.
- Tasks: Tasks refer to a specific piece of work required to be done within a given time frame. In the Zoho CRM, you can create recurring tasks and also set reminders for your tasks.
- Meetings: Essentially, meetings refer to an activity that happens at a time and place. In the Zoho CRM, you can easily create recurring meetings, add invitees to the meeting, and set reminders.
- Calls: Zoho CRM has allowed the users to keep a track of the inbound calls and outbound calls as well.
Workflow Report
Configuring the workflow rules makes it very easy to manage the sales, marketing, and support-related activities by automating the complete process. While configuring the workflows, you can define a set of conditions based on which a rule can be applied or not on the records.
Before configuring a rule, you can have an idea about the records that can satisfy the criteria that have been mentioned. In order to get insight into the rule’s performance, you should know the number of records that can pass all through the configuration levels to decide in case the execution criteria work effectively.
The workflow usage report is designed to offer you, record counts, at each configuration stage in the workflow rule. For instance, you can see the different records that qualify a trigger, the total number of records that satisfy a condition, record for instant and scheduled actions.
Multiple Scoring Rules
The scoring rules help in qualifying prospects based on different parameters such as behavior, demography, and key details of the persona. The higher the score, the more likely the prospect can become a customer. Scoring also companies improve the marketing operations by focusing on customers who have conversion potential.
The lead scoring model is different according to businesses. Another criterion that offers companies deeper insight into prospects is behavioral data. Important details like how frequently customers open their emails, the last purchases, and webinars attended phone call receptivity and negotiating before signing a contract directly relating to customer’s interests. This can be a key factor in helping businesses outline an improved marketing strategy.
Based on the business model, the customer base, marketing strategy, and product line lead scoring methodology can vary from business to business. Many businesses can require each team to use criteria to qualify a contact for getting an improved understanding of behavior. On the other hand, some businesses also wish to score their lead separately for every product they show interest in so that marketing outreach can be aligned based on the lead’s interest at each stage in the sales process.
Enhancements in CRM Motivator
Zoho CRM Motivator has been improved for including UI level improvements and customization options directed for achieving clarity with insights on your team’s performance. You can add detailed KPI insights to the Motivator Dashboard by selecting the component type. You can also edit on the ongoing games and the data will automatically show changes in configuration. At the UI level, any tab called “About” has been included in each component such as KPI, Target, Game, and Team for easily displaying basic details about a particular component.
Customizing Record Detail Page Using Canvas
The Canvas list view offers many ways to customize the record display in the module list. It is also possible to add record images, use custom buttons for representing fields, use font style and size for the field labels, change the alignment of field types, and more. These customizations were earlier limited to the list view only.
The Canvas Detail page enables you to customize the record detail page to your preference by adding a background color to every field, arranging them in order, using custom buttons rather than field names, using font styles, and a lot more. This is available in modules including custom modules.
Sending Email Notifications
The email notifications are amongst the instant and scheduled actions linked with different automation in CRM. They are notifications, information, alerts, or details sent to leads, contacts, and users in an organization. Anytime you associate an email notification to an automation, the selected email gets automatically sent to chosen recipients when configuration criteria are met.

- The Group by, Records, and Sort By section under the module settings have been removed.
- The records can be automatically downloaded in the background without any kind of user intervention.
