Tip #7 - Siri shortcuts in Zoho CRM



Hello Everyone,

Here is a tip about the 'Siri Shortcuts' feature and how it works in the iOS version of the Zoho CRM mobile app.

What are Siri shortcuts?

Siri Shortcuts are quick actions across your apps on iOS. They can perform an action automatically within an app in the background, or they allow you to dive into an app to get something done with a simple trigger phrase.

Siri shortcuts in Zoho CRM will allow you to create custom shortcuts to launch a module/ a list view in a module of the CRM app with the use of a simple trigger phrase.

For example: The trigger phrase 'Hey Siri, open my leads' will take you directly to the my leads list view in the Zoho CRM app. This eliminates the tiring process of tapping and selecting various options to get where you want to go in the CRM app.

How to create Siri Shortcuts?

There two ways to create Siri Shortcuts for Zoho CRM.

1. 'Siri Shortcuts' option from within the settings of the CRM app
2. 'Shortcuts' app on your iPhone

Steps to create Siri Shortcuts for Zoho CRM via the CRM app:

To create shortcuts, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open the Zoho CRM Mobile app
2. Go to 'Settings'
3. Scroll down and select 'Siri Shortcuts'
4. Select the + plus icon in the 'Create Shortcuts' section
5. Click 'Done'
6. Post that, you can call out the trigger phrase

Once you click the + plus icon, the 'Open module list' shortcut will be added automatically by default with the trigger phrase 'Hey Siri, Open module list'. If you want to change the phrase, you can either tap the phrase at the top and type in a new phrase/ tap 'Change Voice Phrase' at the bottom.

You can also edit the shortcuts directly from the Shortcuts app on your iPhone or tap the 'Edit in Shortcuts' option while creating a shortcut.

When you tap 'Edit in Shortcuts', you will be redirected to the Shortcuts on your iPhone. In this page, you can edit the phrase by tapping the highlighted option on the GIF.



You can customize the action by tapping the 'Module' option and selecting the module and the list that you want to open.

Once done, click the play button at the bottom right to run the shortcut. After that as and when you use the trigger phrase the respective module will open in the CRM app.

Steps to create Siri Shortcuts for Zoho CRM via the Shortcuts app:

To do so, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Open the Shortcuts app
2. Tap the + icon at the top right corner
3. Enter the name/ the trigger phrase for your shortcut
4. Select the 'Add Action' button
5. Switch to the 'Apps' tab
6. Select Zoho CRM and a list of predefined actions will be displayed
7. Select the action as per your requirement
8. Save

After creating the shortcut, you can use the trigger phrase to run the shortcut via Siri.

Apart from this you can launch Zia and the dashboards module via Siri Shortcut. To do so, please go to the CRM app's settings > Select 'Siri Shortcuts' > Tap 'Add to Siri'.

Note: Launch Zia and the Dashboard module will be available in the paid editions of Zoho CRM. Also, you will not be able to open a particular CRM record using a trigger phrase.
