2017 has been a happening year for the Zoho CRM Community for many reasons. Over the year, our Community has built itself to create a space where you, our users, engage with each other, our product experts, and a few Zoho partners. The launch of the Community Learning Series this year fueled increased interactions and engagements among the community members. Here's a quick recap from this year.

Custom Functions:
The Custom Functions series entails a new program every week to help our users build solutions a little outside-the-box. Our product experts come up with a Custom Functions every Tuesday and provide you with the code that helps you workaround some requirements and challenges in Zoho CRM. Tips, tricks, and hacks:
Our experts give out a tip every Thursday and a hack every Wednesday. We play out a business scenario with screenshots and explain how you can do it in a simple yet efficient way.
The hacks from the support desk give you folks a workaround to any snags you might have hit while working your CRM. Step by step instructions help you make the most of your CRM! Take a look at the 26 tips and 21 hacks we've shared in 2017!
We've wanted to engage more closely with you all and bring the community closer. Here are a couple of initiatives we came up with to not only make CRM learning more interactive, but also to get a collective insight from you all on where and how we can keep getting better at what we are doing!
With close to 500 questions from over 400 different community members, the Ask the Experts series hasn't failed to be a hit, every month. We at the Community, pick one module in Zoho CRM that has been frequented on the Zoho CRM forums or the support desk and get our panel together to be available for you, 5 hours at a stretch. From customizing Zoho CRM to automating CRM workflows, we've touched base with many of you, on topics that are most discussed. What's more? Focus Groups:
Zoho CRM is built to suit businesses of any type. As our developers get busy prepping a feature request that's up on common demand, or those features from which you can derive more benefits, we set about to the premier or demonstrate such features to those of you who've requested or showed interest in it. The Focus Groups this year were set around an array of topics including the Finance suite integration and PBX integration with Zoho CRM.

An online medium to engage with our users and partners is great and allows more of us to join a discussion from wherever we are. We also wanted to make it possible for you to engage with our partners and us offline too! What better way than to have offline meetups to connect with your peers from the same city ?! So we headed out to four of India's most popular cities and connected with some of you through our Offline Community meetups! And here's the big news- the meetups will soon come to a few cities in the United States and Europe! Watch this space for more updates.

Prevent stripping of custom CSS when creating an email template?
Anyone have a workaround for this? Zoho really needs to hire new designers - templates are terrible. A custom template has been created, but every time we try to use it, it strips out all the CSS from the head. IE, we'll define the styles right in the <head> (simple example below) and everything gets stripped (initially, it saves fine, but when you browse away and come back to the template, all the custom css is removed). <style type="text/css"> .footerContent a{display:block !important;} </style>
