Under a project, we might have numerous task lists and these might be for all sorts of things so typically, if a task is created under a task list, it should contain the fields relevant for that particular purpose.
However, if I create a task template, I appear to only be able to link it to a project. Not anything specifically within that project. So basically, you can only have x1 task template that applies to an entire project so no matter where a task is being created in the project, it will contain all of the fields even though some might be unnecessary/unneeded/unwanted for tasks under a particular task list.
Like, am I being stupid and missing something here or is this completely ridiculous?
Why are we being constrained to only one template with custom fields per entire project and can anyone provide a solution to how to potentially handle this that I can explore. Reaching out to Zoho support is about as much help as a chocolate teapot and takes about 3 light years.

Task Inline Editing Enhancement
Hi All, Today, we have made an enhancement in task inline editing. In 4.0, task edit is moved in a single screen in a pop-up. We designed this in-order to make the task edit across the product to be the same. Let it be in Feeds, Tasks & My Tasks tab, Calendar & My Calendar tab, a click on the task title will open the popup and user can edit the values.
