Week Ahead: Icons instead of initials
Hi, I find it confusing the use of initials like TD or MS or ME to describe or Tag the entries in the calender. It would much easier to read and find if you would use icons a colors for it. For instance, you could put a Clock or People symbol for meetings, a Task symbol for Tasks (the tipical hash symbol) and something for the milestone, and again a diferent color for each. That would help to have a better overview. thanks Mario mario
Language problem
Hi I'm one of a Japanese User. I have a problem. [Forums]>[New Forum Post]> Use Japanese (double byte lang) I receive an e-mail with unreadable characters. Japanese Language can't use this service? Only 1 administrator?
I'd like to see greater flexibility in terms of roles and users. Particuarly, it looks like there can only be 1 administrator and once it's set, you're stuck w/ it for life!

Another Zoho Wishlist
I'll start by saying that I find Zoho Projects to be the most intuitive of the web-based project management tools I have tried. However, Zoho would be near perfect for me if it would add the following features. Major Changes that I am dying to see: 1) Have an overall "My Home" Calendar that combines all the Tasks/Meetings/Milestones of a user's assigned projects into one Calendar for an overall schedule view. --- Finding a tool that does this well has really been one of my main goals in testing different
Problem with uploaded PDF-files on Zoho Projects
Hi, since a couple of days all the pdf files I upload to my Projects account are getting corrupted. I have uploaded a screenshot of the dialogue box with the error message I get to my Flickr account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/55625122@N00/448648282/ As all these PDF files work properly on my local machine and can be opened with Adobe Reader as well as Foxit Reader without any problems I would suppose there's something wrong with Zoho projects. PDF files uploaded last week - by the way - are ok.

Zoho Projects Update - April 3, 2007
A few cool features that you users had been asking for got added in the latest Zoho Projects update. Listing them here : 1. Task List Templates - If you have the same list of tasks to be duplicated across Milestones/Projects, this functionality is for you. You can create a new template from scratch (Under Settings -> Templates) or make an existing tasklist as a 'Template Task List'. 2. You can now send private messages to a selected few members of your Projects account. Click on Users -> Send Message.
Task Assignment
Currently from what I saw we can only define tasks that takes 1 day or more. I could not define a task with couple hours. Is there any option there that I don't know ? In addition how about assigning one task to more than one person ? Can we do it ? I could not find that one as well. shahid
More functionalities on week ahead
I suggest you to add the same capabilities that you have in Calender (add new task, add new meeting, etc) to the Week ahead table. In addition I like to be able edit the "Today's tasks" right from dashboard shahid
weird behavior of task timer in timesheet
Hi: I tried using the task timer on a test task today and when I was done, the time spent was added to the timesheet, but with the following quirks: 1) The entry shows up in the right amount and on the right day in the calendar view of the timesheet, but clicking on the link shows "no log hours for (date)" in the window above the calendar. 2) Clicking on the time entry for the PREVIOUS day, however, brings up the detail window above, with all the time logged yesterday, PLUS the time I logged today
Manually log out users
I see that users have to manually log themselves out of Zoho, but my users won't remember to do that. I need to be able to log them out manually. Right now it shows one guy has been in the site 2 days. info
How robust is the security model?
Everybody duck - newbie on board. I have a question about security and segregation. I manage multiple accounts, with multiple projects, and with multiple employees/subscontractors. I'd like to be able to use a project management solution that allows me as the admin to track and see everything. But I also need to be able to completely segregate everything for everybody else. Account A cannot see anything about account B, people working on project A can see nothing about project B. Can the security
My wishlist for Zoho Projects...
First off, I think Zoho Projects is GREAT! Here are a few things I would love to see added: Chat with the others currently online. Get comments emailed to the owner and/or anyone else within a forum, task, etc. The ability for admins and managers to edit user's information. Reset someone's account (resend email with password). Delete a forum topic. Close a forum topic. Put an expiration date on a forum topic. Add comments to uploaded files and documents. When uploading a document, check other document
My Home
From the my home view I can see all tasks across projects for myself. As administrator or project manager I would like to be able to see the same view for an employee so that I can manage their tasks and time across projects. gregoryf

I am the Traffic Manager for a large marketing agency and like the features of your product. However, I am concerned that the look and the fel of the interface is a little dry and sterile. We are currently using MS Project and Basecamp as internal project tools and I feel that both of these programs have a more appealing and user friendly interface. Hey everyone, First I must say, that I am extremely impressed with Zoho! I had a quick question... I've added some tasks and task lists and such to my project and when I'm in the "Tasks and Milestones" list there's a small calendar on the right hand side. Shouldn't that list my tasks? Right now, all it has listed is a milestone I've created. And on top of that, I notice a legend above the calendar that has the priorities color coded... except the only think thats colored on my calendar is my milestone
ZOHO Projects - copying tasks
Hi - I'm trying to use ZOHO projects as a means of helping me to organize the many things that I'm doing. One is to catch up on my orders, and that is a daily task of shipping 4 orders per day over the next 60 days. I want to be able to mark each day complete, so is there a way to copy a task? lenfante

Offline File Storage / NON-Hosted Version
Hi! I don't know what other users are thinking about, but if we store all our project data on zohoproject we do definitly need more space available. As we deal with digital images we come very fast near the 1GB per project ... Is it thought now or in near future to develop a version of Zoho project which can run on our local servers - or will be the hosted form the only available option nearby ? Hi! First let me thank you for your effort on Zoho projects - it's totally fine work! Possibly you can implement a feature, where it is possible to send an eMail to a @zohoprojects.com email address specific to a project. An add the content of this email or the forum entry (anser), document, task entries directly into this project. This would be very fine ... Possibly also status changes via eMail would be possible. Scheduling functions and user/client contact input
I'm liking ZPMS and will probably discover how best to do this after I've used Zoho projects for awhile, but none the less, I was hoping for a simple way to view the "schedule" of any day by clicking on a particular day in the calendar view, automatically it would then show that day broken down into x (1-24) hours- x(5-10-15) minute increments. Then populate that days schedule with the various tasks, milestone, etc.. color coded to the specific project to give the user a quick snapshot view of the
Editing an uploaded file with zoho.
In Zoho Projects I have several files uploaded under Documents tag. It would be nice if these documents could be edited using the proper zoho application. Instead, I have to download the file and edit it in my pc. Surely you can solve it quickly! Hugo Nicaragua dagconsultores

Time/Date/Week Format
Hi, while I'm still evaluating Projects, I think there's no way to change the formats for time (I need 24-hour-format), date (I need day.month.year) and week (I need "week starts on monday"). You probably guessed it, I'm outside the US, and those are (kind of) international standards. I have some other requests as well, but will break them into separate posts. I just wanted to suggest that for ZOHO Projects - you should have a space for where the meeting will take place. A Location field or something like it. BTW I'm just starting to use ZOHO and I love it. Thanks, Aaron aaron

moving, merging, linking
i think this would be key to be able to move, roll into, transfer a project or a portion of a project to another or new one. also be able to link projects to that if you had 3 mini projects as part of one larger initiative. that way you could limits ones access to only thier part of the overal project. john
email notifications
Is there a way to configure the invites to send/not send email reminds on meetings? I find that i might update some meetings, and it blasts out reminders and update notices without my approval jack.virdee
"Latest Project Activity"
It would be nice if the items listed in the "Latest Project Activity" area of the Dashboard were live links so if we see something interesting in that list I can just click on it and go there instead of having to look thru task lists, etc for the specific item.

I love Zoho! You guys have done an amazing job at putting what were typically cumbersome and disjointed work utilities into a single and very user-friendly package! I do have one recommendation: make it possible to put due date and assignments to task lists as well. In some projects you might not have enough detail to create multiple tasks under a specific milestone. jack.virdee
