Ability to Set Client Name During Portal Invitation

Hi Zoho Team,
We would like to suggest an important enhancement to the Zoho Creator Client Portal functionality.

Zoho Creator recently introduced the option to set a client’s display name in the Client Portal settings, which is very helpful for creating a more personalized experience. However, there is currently no way to define the client’s name at the time of adding or inviting them to the portal - just the email address and permission:



At the moment, the client invitation automatically assigns the display name as their email (without the domain). Only after the client has been added can we manually edit their name.

This process is cumbersome, and it also means that the client initially receives an invitation showing their email as their name instead of their actual name, which feels unprofessional.

Requested Enhancement:
Please add an option to specify the client’s name when inviting or adding them to the Client Portal.




This small change would significantly improve the onboarding flow and client experience.
