Manage and Automate Taxes Effortlessly with Zoho Books' Advanced Tax Features

We're excited to highlight some of the most beneficial features in our Tax Settings page. Whether you're a long-time user or just getting started, these features are here to enhance your Zoho Books experience.

 

Note: The features in this post are only applicable for the Global edition of Zoho Books.

 

1. Advanced Tax Automation

You can manage your taxes with Advanced Tax Automation in Zoho Books. This feature helps you select tax rates automatically by creating and associating tax rules with your items and contacts. You can also manage your location-specific tax rates effortlessly with this feature.

 

2. TDS

You can track the TDS deducted in your sales and purchase transactions by enabling the TDS feature in Zoho Books. You can also manage TDS for your customers and vendors, access TDS Receivables and Payables reports with ease.

 


3.Reverse Charge

You can track the reverse charge applied in your sales and purchases and allow your customers pay tax directly to the government by enabling Reverse Charge in Zoho Books.

 

4. Tracking Tax Transactions

You can now track the taxes applied on your sales and purchase transactions under a single Tax Payable account or two separate Input Tax and Output Tax accounts to suit your accounting needs.

 


5. Tax Amount Override in Transactions

The Tax Amount Override feature allows you to manually adjust the total tax amount in your sales and purchase transactions, so you can manage your tax calculations seamlessly.

 

6. MOSS, OSS Schemes, and Digital Services Export

Start tracking the tax applied on transactions as per the VAT MOSS and IOSS schemes and track the sale and export of digital services in your organization.

 

If your business sells digital services to international customers, this features helps you monitor tax rates based on the place of supply, ensuring compliance and accurate taxation. You will also be able to track taxes as per the OSS/IOSS scheme with dedicated reports that details the transaction type and the taxable amount.

 


You can enable each of these features in Zoho Books to improve your tax management and make your financial tasks easier. To start using them, go to Settings > Taxes > Tax Settings.
