We're back with several updates and enhancements to make your invoicing experience better. Read the post below to discover what's new.
Stripe Recurring Payments (India Edition)
If you have integrated with Stripe, you can use it to collect charges from your customers automatically. This is available for Indian Mastercard and Visa cards and is facilitated using e-mandates, a digital payment service introduced by the Reserve Bank of India.
TDS Override for Transactions (Global Edition)
We've introduced a preference that allows you to edit the system generated TDS amount in transactions. To enable this go to Settings > Taxes > Tax Settings.


Import Customers with Duplicate Names
You can now import customers who have the same display name as the customers that already exist in your organization. This can also be helpful when the import file contains multiple customers with the same display name. To enable this, go to Settings > Preferences > Customers and select Add duplicates as new customers while importing customers.

Correction Invoice (Germany Edition)
In Germany, once an invoice has been sent to the customer, it must not be edited or deleted. To handle this, we have introduced cancellation of the invoice you want to edit/delete and a subsequent correction invoice that can be created. This correction invoice will serve as a record of changes made to the original invoice.
This feature is available for the Germany edition by default, however, if you are in the Global edition with your Business Location set as Germany, you must write to support@zohoinvoice.com to try it out, as it is still in Early Access.
Redirect URL After Saving a Payment Method
You can now direct your customers to a specific URL after requesting their payment information. You can use it to direct customers to your own website, or even the Customer Portal.

Prevent Duplicate Payments

In situations where customers make invoice payments via ACH or direct debit, the payment will be in the Pending status until it has been processed. So, there's a chance for your customers to initiate another (duplicate) payment during this time. To prevent this, go to Settings > Customer Portal and check the Prevent Duplicate Payments option.

New Payment Modes for the Stripe Integration
We have introduced three new payment modes for the Stripe payment gateway to collect payments in Europe:

Custom Field for Subscription
Hi, I can't find a way to add a custom field (to contain a license key generated from our software) against a subscription? Is the only place to add this information in the Invoice module (as custom field for invoice)?
