Hello!
Zoho Creator's APIs enable you to access your Zoho Creator account and includes an authentication process to secure your data. The v1 APIs use authtokens, while v2 APIs are based on OAuth verification, which is much more secure. To enhance the security of this process, we are now deprecating our v1 APIs (that will reach their end-of-life on February 3rd, 2021) and disabling new authtoken generation in an effort to use only Zoho OAuth authentication.
Existing v1 API users
If you are using Authtokens for authorization in your apps, please note that new authtokens will not be generated after the following dates in the respective DCs:
IN DC after October 15th, 2020
EU and CN DC after October 30th, 2020
US DC after November 30th, 2020
Existing authtokens will continue to work till the end-of-life of v1 APIs. Kindly refrain from changing your account password or deleting your authtoken in Zoho Accounts because you will not be able to generate new authtokens, and this will affect the existing process. To reinstate it, you will have to migrate to v2 APIs.
Note: When the authtoken deprecation is implemented, file upload and download tools and migration tools that were previously deprecated will also stop working.
