Tip of the week #4: Click on the calendar grid to create and add an event to your calendar
Quick Add in Zoho Calendar helps you create an event by clicking at the desired time on the calendar grid.
Day, Week or Work views
If the calendar view is set for the Day, Week, or Work view, the preferred event time can be set by clicking and dragging the mouse pointer from the preferred start time to the end time on the date grid. You can also click on the grid where the date and day are given to create an All-day event. To create a multi-day event, click and drag the mouse across the required days.
Month(s) views
If the view is set as Month, 2 Months, or 3 Months view, click on a date and create an event. You can click and drag the mouse across dates to create a multi-day event.
Follow the steps given below to Quick Add an event
- You can create an event by clicking on the grid of the calendar.
- If your event stretches across several hours or days, click and drag your mouse to the desired duration of the event. A simple event creation dialogue box will appear
- Type the Event Title. Select the event color.
- Set the time and date of the event duration.
- Enter the Email address/ Group name of the participants.
Enter the Location where the event is going to be held.
- Select Zoho Meeting from the Add Conference drop-down if the meeting has virtual participants.
- Select the calendar to which the event should be added.
- Click Save.
Click More options and open the detailed event creation tab if you want to add more details.
As mentioned in the previous tips an event can be added to your calendar in two other ways apart from
Quick Add. Detailed Add and
Smart Add are the other two options available in Zoho Calendar to add a meeting or event to your schedule.
