using the primary count field in reports
Hi there people, firstly, thanks for the excellent work you are doing here at zoho, i have been experimenting with zoho db and am very impressed, recently i have found the need to display the primary record count in my tables and charts, how might i achieve this? also, i know that this was a hot issue around christmas, but can zoho creator feed directly into DB yet? I have a lovely data entry page built in creator, and an excellent databse with usefull reporting tools but as yet can't make them talk
table relationships, cascading deletes/updates
Hi, I'm new to Zoho. Is the lookup column the only way of creating relationships between tables? Is there any way to perform cascading deletes/updates? Any help would be much appreciated.

Find or filter in tables
Is it possible to filter or search in a table? When I have to edit a data, I have to scroll row per row until I find the row I want to edit, because in the view mode I can filter and search but I can't edit. When it is a big table it's time consuming...
Creation of table from csv text/file

Using "Like" in Queries
Hi, Can you please tell me how can I use "Like" in the WHERE clause of a select query? By default, the select query table data view shows only 10 records. Is this configurable? Can I have it show more than 10 records? Thanks

I just started using zoho DB yesterday and tried to import a csv table which I created with MS Excel, by copy and paste method. Then I encountered a garbling problem. I guess that is because the table contains some Japanese characters. For your reference, I included the data excerted from the table below. Creator sign-up database
I would like to create a sign-up database for volunteers and volunteer duties. Creating the database is not a problem but when the next volunteer registers I would like for the previous volunteers task that they signed up for not to show and this new volunteer can choose from the volunteer tasks that are left. I dont know how to accomplish this. Help Blair

Buttons with script + create own forms
Hi, This may be difficult, but I would like to have programmable buttons on the existing views, or to have the ability to design my own form with programmable buttons. I presume that scripting will be added to DB. As a Foxpro user I am used to using buttons on forms for data manipulation etc. Cheers, John

error changing design
When I tried to modify a text field to a lookup field, everything was fine with this field but all the records in decisions boxes fields that I did not try to modify were changed to No. How can I fix this?

Zoho DB & Reports
I am trying to create a number of tables into which tutors can enter relevant course information about student progress (non-personal data only). I would then like to create a lookup table that is accessible by only the course leaders that would pool all the data entered by the teaching staff. The problem is that some of the fields used for entering data are multi-line and do not appear as an option when creating a lookup table. Is there any way this can be done? ian lake
error in IE when displaying report

Form Letter from Customer list
I'd like to build a list of my customers with the ability to print a form letter that contains the customers address. There could be several different form letters. It would work as follows: I select the customer then I select the appropriate letter for that customer and print it. A report history is kept with the name of the letter and the date printed. I then select the next customer and a different letter. Is it possible to build this type of application with ZOHO?
MS Access Reports
Both Creator and DB are awesome. I am waiting patiently for them to be connected (please make this a priority!) One feature missing though is something similar to MS Access's Reports. What I need is the ability to produce a report that can be printed off in Word or PDF and I haven't found that yet in either 'Creator' or 'DB & Reports' - (I was really hoping that as your DB has 'Reports' in the title that it would be able to do that.) Please tell me if I am wrong.

Column could not be modified deleted
There was a formula column called Column_1 in my database. I deleted it. Now I am not able to modify/delete the other columns which were used by the formula column. ZohoDB gives an error that the column cannot be changed as it is used in column 'Column_1' There is no Column_1 in my database !!
How to Open all a Record's Data from within a Summary View

It is desirable for the import process to give some opportunity to know what the failures may be, and opportunity to revise the import set-up. Our choices now are to ignore a column, or ignore imported rows, and to re-import, after attempting to figure out the problem, which seems not to have any reporting on the details of the import difficulty, on first try. Error when adding data
I am trying to add a new row of data to an existing database. After I enter the data, I receive an error message when I click "save." The error message is: "OBJID is not present in the request parameter list " Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit data in a query
Does anyone know if we can edit data in a query? I have built an action list table with projects assigned to people and created queries that filter the actions so everyone can each see their projects. I would like to let them update the status of their projects in the query rather than in the master table. Any thoughts?
Failure when updating existing table

I am have a table with 10 existing columns and I am trying to append 5 new columns to the data. I select import and "add records and replace if already existing". ACT! 2000 - trying to import database
I've read instructions posted on these forums to export in CSV format and then import same data to Zoho database and reports using the Import Wizard. Lookup Column Not Working
Hello, New to Zoho DB so please forgive me if this has been discussed before. I am trying Zoho DB out before I commit to using it and created to databases - vendors and vendor accounts - and am trying to get teh Vendor Name from Vendors database to be a lookup column in the Vendor Accounts database, but when I create the Vendor Name field in the Accounts database and tag it as a Lookup Column it works, but when attempting to enter data into Vendor Accounts there is no data in the Vendor Name drop

Graph to allow more than one field on x-axis
Consider a DB capturing the turnover per week in four different regions: Fields are Region, week and turnover. I would like to be able to create a bar-graph showing the turnover (y-axis) per region for the last 4 weeks (seperately). That means that the x-axis box in the edit view of a DB graph should allow more than one field and that the order determines whether you will see weeks per region or regions per week. Importing CSV data to an existing table
Hi, Really like the DB facility. I've tried to import csv data to an existing table and have the data added to the end of the table as new rows without success. I've tried both the paste and local file import methods. The data is standard csv with a comma separator. If I import the data into new columns this works fine. If I import into the existing columns it fails to start and gives no error message to indicate where the problem is. Any help you can give would be great - I've worked around the
