Hi, I just signed up for Zoho Creator's 15 day trial period and am really enjoying it so far. Though I have a little problem I cannot figure out. I need to have a form that creates unique IDs for its entries. Build a zoho creator view like the account / contact view in zoho crm?
I reviewed the how-to documentation, but I'm assuming I keep overlooking how to do this: I want to make it so when i click on accounts, i can click the individual account and see an account summary page with all its related contacts. then be able to click the individual contacts to see their account detail. Make each user only be able to view records that apply to them.
I have a form that customers fill out and Users/Sales Reps will have access to the records. What I want to accomplish is for each User to only be able to view the records that apply to them. I have chosen a User ID field to be the identifier/filter for this, but I'm not sure if this is the best way to do it. Also, I'm not sure how to set it up on the backend. Would there be custom DS involved in this? Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thank you, Mike

disable mandatory field?
I want to conditionally disable a mandatory field, but can't get this to work! I have three payment options. If someone selects "Credit Card", I want the PO# and Account# fields do disable, but this doesn't seem to be working. I currently have PO# set to be a require field, and this seems to be causing the problem. Hi, I'm trying to create an extremely simple registration form to embed within my moonfruit created website. I need to capture basic name email which is fine, but I also need to get people to select from a pre populated list of schools. As there are over 16,000 in the UK I need people to be able to to first click on their county. This will then bring up only schools which are within that county. Can someone tell me how to do this?

I recall a discussion of always showing custom actions on top of the view for actions that are not record specific. Currently they only show if the user clicks on a record. Since the action is not record specific the user has no reason to select a record. Is this on the roadmap? Herb Wexler

My users have been successfully using my applicaiton for over a year, but last week, an error message started to be displayed : Enter a Valid Email address.... The address it doesn't like has an apostorphe in it (example john.o'reilly@domain.co.uk) An apostorphe is a valid character (if it occurs in the name, prior to the '@' symbol) Please advise if the checking routine has changed, as this worked and has worked for one year ! URGENT! Filter on lookup field not working!
Hi, I use filters on lookup fields as follows: Lookup A = Company Names Lookup B = Items by Company (filtered by company name) Lookup C = Item type (filtered by selected item) I was able to add the filter to Lookup B without any issues, but no matter what, as soon as I move to another field and come back to Lookup C, the filter I add disappears. Exploring through the Report Tab in Zoho Creator is very easy and convenient, however, I have some problem regarding on producing the right output. I wanted to create summary report where I can collect the sum of the values, identify the highest and lowest value, or the most redundant value within the recordset. Browsing through the sub-form upon clicking "Add Agreggate Formula" in the left panel of the report tab (see image), i found different options from the Click to Insert Functions dropdown.

I would like to use the Creator tool to send a request to a web service which returns a list of records (in XML) and then display those records in a View. I do not see anything in the documentation which lends itself as a good starting point. Can I embed a creator report in a crm tab?
I have a daily sales graph that I created in creator, but will not show in crm tab. I can see the database and grid views, but not report views. Is this a limitation or did I do something wrong.

During the editing of a newly added record in a veiw, a problem appears to have occurred whilst saving changes, which has resulted in the loss of editing, delting, searching, in fact, I can no longer do anything with the view other than look at the existing records.
