Mass Import of Vendors and Contacts Simultaneously
Is there a way to import Contacts and have the "Company" field on the import automatically create a new "Vendor"? My plan is to use Zoho CRM to manage my vendors, not as a sales CRM. My goal is to import my 400 existing vendor contacts as contacts while at the same time creating a Vendor that they are associated with.
Revenue Dashboard - Zoho CRM
I am trying to create a dashboard view (or any view for that matter) that shows revenues instead of order count. However, all dashboards and can only show data by record count. Any idea how I can change this to revenues?

Server not Connecting? Not Receiving E-mails?
I had this error message come up yesterday, The Server could not be connected. Check whether the Server is available to connect in the given name and port number. After waitning 24 hours and no reply from Zoho support, I stumbled onto the below, and this has worked, I can now get emails. Go to https://mail.zoho.com This will bring up your Zoho mail app add-on. Look at your primary e-mail address, mine was marked as 'disabled' for some reason, hover over the 'disabled' word and click on it to enable
Outlook only syncing owner contacts not all
Outloook sync with Zoho CRM is only syncing the contact owner records. I can't seem to get it to synchronize all contacts. I have set all contacts in data share to public read/write/delete. Can the sync allow the users to see all contacts?

Without looking I assume that this does not exist - other custom made CRM's in call centres i have used has this facility rather than adding the previous name as part of the accounts name, I would like this considered in your next update.
Subforms in Zoho CRM custom app?
Hey, does anyone know if it's possible to use subforms in a Zoho CRM custom app? I'm building a sales reporting module which will be quite similar to the quote module in Zoho CRM (which has a subformy style interface) but be higher level (product categories rather than individual products) and contain different information (needs to have revenue + profit margin for each line item). I want the user to be able to add an unlimited number of product categories. E.g. they might add these rows - Servers

How do you delete obsolete Competitors?
I have been doing some testing to establish some best practices and procedures for using the Competitor's Section of a Potential. For the sake of expediency I created fictitious competitors. However, now that my testing is complete I want to remove these companies form the list to avoid confusion. I have searched the User Guide and I cannot find a way to do this. Does anybody have an answer?

Can Zoho automatically create a new folder in Docs when an account is made in CRM?
Didn't seem to see how to do this, we have the $20 Zoho plan (or will potentially soon). Maybe I'm missing this but can Docs and CRM sync? So ideally, I make an account in Zoho, and it automatically creates a folder in Docs. That's the main thing that I want. What would be even better though is any files I save into that folder like using the desktop app, are visible from Zoho. Mainly just wondering if there's a way to have it automatically make folders. How do I export, modify and reimport data to CRM?
We need to export all our Accounts probably once a month as we run them through an external system that updates certain fields, then we reimport them to update the records. In Salesforce on import we choose to update existing records. I just exported all accounts from Zoho and I kept just the Account ID and Account Name fields, then put sample data in a few other fields and then ran the import wizard. automatic email after set time/date
Hello I have been working with the Zoho system for only a week now, so I am fairly new to it! I am trying to work out how to get a chain of emails to send - so the first email goes when a contact is added to the Leads, then the second email is automated to send after a set period of time, and another after that. Is this something to do with the Autoresponders, or am I looking at the wrong thing??? Look forward to hearing from you shortly
Duplicate Salutation Title in Contact Module
When creating a new contact the first name - salutation field which is part of the first name field has two lots of salutations i.e. Mr. Ms. Mrs. then Mr Ms Lady so two lots one set with a Dot and one without can i get rid of these (the is the predefined zoho field)? I hope it doesn't affect the ability to pull off a report for title's if i wanted to check for any blank ones.

Automatically sorting email into CRM potentials and Leads via tracking code or address
Hi all......I am moving from another CRM, and want to re-create one of the best features of that CRM here in Zoho: e-mail integration. What the other CRM did was allow me to email the customer/potential/lead/whatever from the potential/lead/whatever in the CRM (and therefore archive ALL correspondence) and the CRM added a tracking code somewhere in the mail message so that when the customer replied, that email was routed into the specific deal/opportunity/potential/whatever. I'm a newbie on this, could someone tell me if it's possible to do the following: I want to send out a survey to customers, then when the customer has filled out the survey I want the information to automatically load on the CRM, obviously on the relevant customer's page. Email function on Account as well as other modules
Hi I had noticed that the email function is on Contacts module, is there a way to show it on the Accounts Module, in a similar fashion as the "Show All Notes" tick box. As there doesn't seem a way to detect whether there are any emails linked elsewhere on the account module?
Modifying timestamp
I am using the notes field for describing meeting notes, notes of phone calls, general info about the company such as articles. Zoho adds a time stamp automatically. Is there a way to modify the time stamp? For example: If I create a note today about my meeting of yesterday, I would prefer if the time stamp could be set to yesterday so I know what date the meeting was when I read the notes a few months later.
pop gmail not working
Hello I wonder if you can help me. My email is handled by gmail and I have integrated it into Zoho CRM. I followed all the steps in your manual and for a couple of weeks it worked. but now it has stopped. My emails are arriving and sending in gmail without a problem but none of them are attaching to my client contact records. I have checked that my pop is enabled and have even bought additional zoho mail capacity. but no joy. Driving me mad!
Custom field output pushed to a custom module
I have created a custom formula field in my Contacts module that will give the age of the contact based on DOB. I would like to push the output of this field (just an integer) into a custom module that I have in my CRM, called 'Policies'. Is there any way to do this?

Automation - Do not see lead email fields to include in workflow.
I am trying to setup rules in professional edition. I need to create a workflow using standard email field on the leads object. When I try to create workflow I am not getting lead fields in the ' Person's associated to the lead'. Is there a limitation with the professional edition? I will appreciate help of the community.

how do i display the same for each user
Hi, I have currently only 3 users. I want the exact same display for all users, so when anyone logs in, they can see the same data in the same layout. all of us are administration level users. I am typically the one making the customisations, and have shared all in my user settings. but when someone else logs on, they do not get the same display as me? I believe it can be done, but am not sure how? what do I need to do to make it display identically for each of the other users Thanks DAN

2 things Is there a way to MASS follow potentials and any other necessary modules and it would seem that i have to select follow both on the account and the potentials etc as any updates on the other modules does not show on pulse, why? surely you should be following the whole account and anything that is attached to it?

I am having problems with google calendar and ZOHO event s synchronisation I have tried one way and two way such but whenever I edit a calendar entry in google, rather that change the description on ZOHO, it creates a new event,so there are two events with different description data ! Navigation Bar ReOrder
In Zoho on the Navigation bar, there are several sub sections that do not pertain to my specific job with my company. My question, concern, is the ability to personalize the order of the items. How it is currently laid out, most of the items that I use on a daily basis, I have to look for in the +More tab.
