problem viewing edited docx
Hi, i reported this as a comment on a previous issue, but its was already flagged as 'answered' and you might have not seen it, so i report it again. I'm using google viewer as a substitute for the soon-to-be-shut-down zoho viewer. I can view docx with no problem, until i edit them with zoho writer, which makes the document unreadable for viewer, and it happens just with docx. Zoho Writer images not appearing in emails
If I cut and paste a paragraph from a Writer doc that has an inline image in it that I got from my computer and insert it into an email, the recipient of the email does not get the image, only a red square with a question mark in it. The image does appear in the sent email. This has always worked before the past few days and just started happening. Why is this?
"Insert HTML" missing in Writer 3
I use to write locally using Markdown; then I export the HTML code to Zoho writer using "Insert HTML" and format fits very well. Google docs dismissed this utility and it seams than Zoho Writer 3 is going through the same direction. Is there a way of using the HTML editor instead of the classic one? Thanks

"Black Bars" in writer when collaborating
Hi, Opened a document at the same time as a colleague and tried editing it at the same time. That worked, except that each of us see "black bars" on top of each character that the other typed. Makes it very unreadable. Is this a bug, or some feature we can disable? Thanks.
IE 9 not working with writer
Team, I can't launch writer using IE9. The error message is Sorry Your browser or version (7.0) is not supported and then lists latest versions links. I have the latest version installed IE9. I have tried several trouble shooting techniques to no avail. It works fine with Google chrome. The help desk has not responded
Miss the LibreOffice plugin too. Use MS Office plugin instead?
I too miss the plugin for LibreOffice! Google Docs Writer is so lame and won't even let Zoho access .odt files clean to let you work on them in Zoho. Whatever the reason Zoho terminated LibreOffice plugin support, can't the MS Office plugin be substituted for LibreOffice with a little tweaking? I don't understand why Zoho is pushing LibreOffice people to do online documents on an inferior service! I would even pay a charge for this feature in Zoho Docs. Is it really that intense a maintenance issue

"Table operations >> Merge cells" does not function
Hello, I try to merge cells in table within Zoho writer. I mark the cells which I want to merge then right click "Table operations >> Merge cells" and nothing happens. Every time when I right click the marked cells become unmarked. How does it work? I appreciate your help.

Is there a support in Zoho writer to manage individual cell properties to manage table cells to split them and merge them? This is a very important feature in any word processor right?

Cell background image/picture
I did a search and didn't find anything that hinted that this might already exist. It would be awesome if we could set background images in a table cell--an image in the background that can have text typed over it. And/or, it would be nice if we could set gradients for background colors of cells. Thanks for considering -Mikey
problem with saving docx in Zoho Writer and view it in Google Viewer
Hello, We use Zoho editor for editing docx file. We use GoogleDoc Viewer to view the docx files (because it is much faster than Zoho Viewer). We found that when saving a docx file using the Zoho writer, it changes the file’s structure in such a way that GoogleDoc viewer cannot show it properly. Opening the documents using MS-Word, still seems to work fine, though. I attached 2 files with an almost identical content – one is a normal docx file saved by MS-Word app and the other is the same document
Working OpenOffice Plug-In Now Receives Error 500
Greetings! I am running LibreOffice 3.5.4 on Maya Mint Linux (Ubuntu 12.04) and for several weeks was successfully up/downloading documents in testing OpenOffice Plug-in 0oo3.0.0gd (http://code.google.com/p/ooo2gd/ ) when suddenly it stopped operating with Server Error 500 and mentions of some apikey ticket errors. The plug-in's author is hard to reach but while I do and just in case, would you know whether Zoho recently changed anything regarding plug-in access to one's files? Thanks for any suggestions

No Longer an Insert Auto Field for Page Number; Hanging Indent

Saving document unchanged.
We have an application that takes a document template and merges it with data from our local server side database. We then open the document in zoho writer. The user can opt to print it out or simply save the document back to a saved area. The problem is that if Zoho does not detect any changes to the document it will not save it. Losing connection to save
This happens occasionally but a lot today. When it goes to SAVE, it says Unable To Connect. When I go to reconnect, it will not and it all stays greyed out. It takes me forever to reload the page. I can then work on it for awhile, but when I stop and then restart to work, it loses the connection. There is nothing wrong with my connection, so it must be on your end. COuld you check this out, pls, or tell me what if I'm doing something wrong.

Regardless of OS or Browser, whether Hardware acceleration is on or off, I get this error. I cannot edit any documents in Zoho Writer. I love all the Zoho products and now use Zoho Mail over Gmail. I would like to replace Google Docs with Zoho Docs, but with all the issues encountered over the past months, I cannot make the switch, Zoho Docs is simply too slow and too prone to error.
No web view in Zoho Writer 3?
Hi! I was playing around with Zoho writer 3 and noticed that there's no "view as web page" function to switch the view to the current default zoho view. Is this feature going to be implemented in version 3 or is going to be removed forever? If so, may I know why? Thanks!

forced to use IE and MS Office??
I wish the mail merge feature would allow us to use the Chrome Browser instead of forcing us to go with MS Internet Explorer and MS Word or Office. I do not use any of those products and I find this a major impediment to using ZOHO CRM. Since the link with Google apps and mail is neatly engineered, it seems only natural that the mail merge feature should work with Chrome. I use Open Office and Word Perfect and would be happy to pay a fee for mail merge to function with one or both of those programs.
Microsoft Plugin Error
Dear Zoho, I recently downloaded your Microsoft Office plugin. I am using Windows 7 and Office 2007. The plugin seemed to download fine, however, when I try to login to Zoho from the plug in I keep getting the following error message. I have tried saying yes and no to this and I get the same result either way. After this it will just say, "Authentication failed. Please check your ZohoID and password." Adding images to a document
I am trying out Zoho and when adding images to Zoho Writer file there were two options for the file location; 1) Upload 2) URL Why can you not grab one from your Zoho Documents folder? Currently you would have to download the image from the documents folder and then upload again creating a second copy on Zoho's servers. Currently seems a waste of time and server resources..
Can't share document
Hi folks, each time I'd like to add a new sharing contact, an error says: "Sharing failed due to an unexpected server error. Please try again." The user name exists and I've tried it also with the email address, but no luck. Cheers
Cannot delete shared document
There are two shared documents in my "shared documents" area, both of which are shared from "demo@zohowriter.com". Anytime anyone edits these documents in the Zoho demo area, I get an email. How do I "unsubscribe" from these shared documents, or "unshare" them?
Zoho Writer Documents not opening

ZOHO writer remote > opens a table in a simple html file 3 times
Hi, We have a lot of issues to open html files with zoho writer 3. (which worked well in version 2.) (also opening html files saved with version 2 gives problems) Attached is a simple html file with a table, if we open it with zoho writer, you see that the table is displayed 3 times in zoho writer. (which is not correct) (please rename the file to html extension,it was not possible to upload files with html extension) Can this be fixed? What is the timeframe to fix something like this? Second
Is upgrading to version 3.0 safe?
Trying out the new version, everything I could do on Version 2.0 works OK on 3.0. But what do I do with the documents that I have on 2.0, for example the document with this as its NOBAND version? In the Version 2.0 editor, it looked just like the public version except that comment icons were displayed. When I now try to open it, however, I am presented with a seriously distorted document, shown in the attachment to this post with the threat: "This is how your document will look like in the new editor"
Zoho Writer "finish and merge" greyed out
On my login I can see the Finish and Merge button and can see the final letter, but the other users can't. They can open a template that I created but the Finish and Merge button is greyed out for them. Is there a setting I need to turn on to allow them to use this feature? They are starting the same way I do...we pick a lead and from the more actions choose mail merge. It then prompts us for the letter template to use and brings up zoho writer. Zoho Writer and Opera
Hi, I am using Opera browser ver. 9,64 and last time I have registered on Zoho but I have problem with Polish charsets (I am from Poland). Normally works Polish charsets e.g. alt+l=ł, alt+o=ó etc. but when I want to write alt+s, Zoho wants to save document. When I want to write alt+a=ą should appear ą but all the text is deleting and finally apears ą. The problem is with Opera only because IE and Firefox works fine. Could anyone help me? Regards Karol
Cut and Paste not working on Apple mini mac within Zoho Writer
Just bought a new Apple mini mac and I can't seem to Cut or Paste from within Zoho Writer. ctrl-c and ctrl-x work to copy and cut. However, ctrl-v will not paste from the clipboard. HELP.
