Inserting Images for Zoho writer
Hello, I'm a student who recently started using this program. I'm trying to insert a simple .jpeg file into a standard document by uploading it from my computer. However, when I keep trying to insert it, it keeps saying "Please insert an image."
Commenting on Zoho Writer is not working properly!!!!!!!
Hello, I opened a document in Zoho Writer from my Zoho Projects account and I have added comments into the document. But after one of my colleagues opened and closed the document in zoho writer, all my comments are disappeared. Same with my colleague, when he adds a comment, it disappear after I open the document. Also, the order of my comments are changed when I open the document next time, comments are moved to another rows rather than where I wrote the comments. Please watch the screenshot where

I am experiencing issues sending emails from Zoho. Cannot open edit merge document pop up.
On my colleagues machine you press merge document field, edit document and it opens in a new window. my login is setup exactly the same as his, with the same permissions, etc, but when i press edit merge document , nothing happens, it just sits saying merging template, no pop up window. I have loged in as him on my machine and it all works fine, it is just relating to my login, not browser settings. can you help.
can't do the basics
Hi, I've written a very short document as a trial. I've named it and saved it. Now I want to see if I can create a folder, name it, and move my document into it as a file. The instructions say to go to the document list and check the box of the file I've selected. Then click on Personal Folders and drag and drop the file accordingly. I don't seem to have a document list and when I retrieve my solitary file it doesn't come with a check box. I also cannot find any mention of Personal Folders on
Geometrical shape Option in Writer?
Do we have this option in Writer as I couldn't find it yet, If not then I feel it would be a smart move to add it just to make Users more comfortable with switching from Desk Office to Online Office!! In case I've missed please let me know how do we do it!

How to tell with whom have I shared?
I'm new to Zoho and was just wondering how can I tell with whom I have shared a document? I don't see a way to get a list of individuals with whom I have shared a certain document.
Will Zoho Writer Ever Be Used Offline Too?
Hi! I'm often nervous about using Zolo Writer and my internet dropping out and severing the session and losing your work or being denied it during long internet/power outages. I heard that it's possible for a company like Zoho to enable using Zoho Writer offline as well, which would alleviate that cut-off worry. Is Zoho working on anything like this? OpenOffice Document Patch Appeal
Greetings. Always can't say and pay enough for all ZOHO's suite offerings, being it dwarfs Google's by far. My sole regret is that Zoho aborted its OpenOffice plug-in project at a time where that feature is an extra desirable point vs GoogleDocs. I appeal to Zoho to reinstate the OpenOffice patch or allow third parties to create one, or at least a Zoho user poll on the issue. Do the right future thing, Zoho! I want to let my users import their own CSV files at my web site. Is their a script that will allow me to add this functionality. ZohoCRM has this functionality in its "Import Potentials" form, but I have not yet been able to find the script for this.

ZOHO Icon remains
Hi there, for some internal reasons I had to cancel my ZOHO Writer account. After removing ZOHO from my google App-List and closing my account, the ZOHO Icon still remains when opening my google docs. When clicking on a file ZOHO (which is not installed anymore) tries to open the document. How can I change that? Joerg
problem viewing edited docx
Hi, i reported this as a comment on a previous issue, but its was already flagged as 'answered' and you might have not seen it, so i report it again. I'm using google viewer as a substitute for the soon-to-be-shut-down zoho viewer. Zoho Writer images not appearing in emails
If I cut and paste a paragraph from a Writer doc that has an inline image in it that I got from my computer and insert it into an email, the recipient of the email does not get the image, only a red square with a question mark in it. The image does appear in the sent email. This has always worked before the past few days and just started happening. Why is this?
"Insert HTML" missing in Writer 3
I use to write locally using Markdown; then I export the HTML code to Zoho writer using "Insert HTML" and format fits very well. Google docs dismissed this utility and it seams than Zoho Writer 3 is going through the same direction. Is there a way of using the HTML editor instead of the classic one? Thanks

"Black Bars" in writer when collaborating
Hi, Opened a document at the same time as a colleague and tried editing it at the same time. That worked, except that each of us see "black bars" on top of each character that the other typed. Makes it very unreadable. Is this a bug, or some feature we can disable? Thanks.
IE 9 not working with writer
Team, I can't launch writer using IE9. The error message is Sorry Your browser or version (7.0) is not supported and then lists latest versions links. I have the latest version installed IE9. I have tried several trouble shooting techniques to no avail. It works fine with Google chrome. The help desk has not responded
Miss the LibreOffice plugin too. Use MS Office plugin instead?
I too miss the plugin for LibreOffice! Google Docs Writer is so lame and won't even let Zoho access .odt files clean to let you work on them in Zoho. Whatever the reason Zoho terminated LibreOffice plugin support, can't the MS Office plugin be substituted for LibreOffice with a little tweaking? I don't understand why Zoho is pushing LibreOffice people to do online documents on an inferior service! I would even pay a charge for this feature in Zoho Docs. Is it really that intense a maintenance issue

"Table operations >> Merge cells" does not function
Hello, I try to merge cells in table within Zoho writer. I mark the cells which I want to merge then right click "Table operations >> Merge cells" and nothing happens. Every time when I right click the marked cells become unmarked. How does it work? I appreciate your help.

Cell background image/picture
I did a search and didn't find anything that hinted that this might already exist. It would be awesome if we could set background images in a table cell--an image in the background that can have text typed over it. And/or, it would be nice if we could set gradients for background colors of cells. Thanks for considering -Mikey
problem with saving docx in Zoho Writer and view it in Google Viewer
Hello, We use Zoho editor for editing docx file. We use GoogleDoc Viewer to view the docx files (because it is much faster than Zoho Viewer). We found that when saving a docx file using the Zoho writer, it changes the file’s structure in such a way that GoogleDoc viewer cannot show it properly. Opening the documents using MS-Word, still seems to work fine, though. I attached 2 files with an almost identical content – one is a normal docx file saved by MS-Word app and the other is the same document
Working OpenOffice Plug-In Now Receives Error 500
Greetings! I am running LibreOffice 3.5.4 on Maya Mint Linux (Ubuntu 12.04) and for several weeks was successfully up/downloading documents in testing OpenOffice Plug-in 0oo3.0.0gd (http://code.google.com/p/ooo2gd/ ) when suddenly it stopped operating with Server Error 500 and mentions of some apikey ticket errors. The plug-in's author is hard to reach but while I do and just in case, would you know whether Zoho recently changed anything regarding plug-in access to one's files? Thanks for any suggestions

No Longer an Insert Auto Field for Page Number; Hanging Indent

Saving document unchanged.
We have an application that takes a document template and merges it with data from our local server side database. We then open the document in zoho writer. The user can opt to print it out or simply save the document back to a saved area. The problem is that if Zoho does not detect any changes to the document it will not save it. Losing connection to save
This happens occasionally but a lot today. When it goes to SAVE, it says Unable To Connect. When I go to reconnect, it will not and it all stays greyed out. It takes me forever to reload the page. I can then work on it for awhile, but when I stop and then restart to work, it loses the connection. There is nothing wrong with my connection, so it must be on your end. COuld you check this out, pls, or tell me what if I'm doing something wrong.

Regardless of OS or Browser, whether Hardware acceleration is on or off, I get this error. I cannot edit any documents in Zoho Writer. I love all the Zoho products and now use Zoho Mail over Gmail. I would like to replace Google Docs with Zoho Docs, but with all the issues encountered over the past months, I cannot make the switch, Zoho Docs is simply too slow and too prone to error.
No web view in Zoho Writer 3?
Hi! I was playing around with Zoho writer 3 and noticed that there's no "view as web page" function to switch the view to the current default zoho view. Is this feature going to be implemented in version 3 or is going to be removed forever? If so, may I know why? Thanks!
