What is a primary email address?

The email address you used to sign up for your Zoho account will be set as your primary email address by default. Although you can add multiple email addresses that you can use to sign in to your Zoho account, you can only set one email address as primary at a time.

The email address you set as primary will be used for communication from Zoho, such as:
  1. billing details, announcements, and offers.
  2. alerts regarding account sign-in activity.
  3. notifications or updates from the apps you're using.
  4. any newsletters you have subscribed to.
So, ensure that you always have access to your primary email address.

The email address you have set as primary email address cannot be deleted straight away. You need to set another email address as primary in order to delete the current one.

If you want to change your primary email address:
  1. Add another email address.
  2. Once you have added another email address, or if you already had another email address added to your account, set it as primary email address.
If you want to delete your primary email address:
  1. Set another email address as primary.
  2. Once you have set a new primary email address, delete the required email address.
