Not Receiving Push Notifications | Troubleshooting - Zoho OneAuth

You're not receiving notifications properly or receiving delayed notifications.

What happened?

Push notifications may be delayed due to network issues. By turning your Wi-Fi or mobile data on/off will resolve this issue. However, in some instances, you may not receive push notifications due to your device's default system settings.

How to resolve this issue

Go through the below troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
  1. Open the OneAuth app and check if you receive the notification. Your device settings may restrict OneAuth from running in the background.

  2. Push notifications are only sent to primary device by default. If your current device is not your primary device, select your current device in the sign-in page.

  3. Check if notification settings are properly enabled for OneAuth on your device.
    1. [For Android devices]
Go to device settings > Apps > OneAuth, and check if the notification options are enabled, especially the “Sign-in notifications” option.
    2. [For iPhones]
Go to Settings > Notifications > OneAuth, and enable Allow Notifications.
    3. [For Windows devices]
Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions and check if the option "Get notifications from apps and other senders" is enabled. Also, scroll down and check if notifications are enabled for OneAuth.
    4. [For macOS devices]
Go to Apple menu > System Settings > Notifications and check if the notification settings are properly enabled.
    5. [For WearOS watches]
Refer to this Google help article for troubleshooting steps.
    6. [For Apple Watch]
Refer to the section "If you can't see notifications on your Apple Watch" in this Apple help article for troubleshooting steps.

  4. If you’re using an iPhone:
    1. Check if Focus Mode is turned ON. If yes, then exempt OneAuth or disable Focus Mode.
    2. Check if Do Not Disturb is turned ON. If yes, then turn it OFF.
    3. Check if Low Power Mode is turned ON. If yes, then either turn it OFF or charge your device.
    4. Check if Background App Refresh is enabled and OneAuth is included.

  5. If you're using an Android device, check if battery optimization is enabled. If enabled, it would restrict apps from running in the background. You can either exempt OneAuth from battery optimization or disable it. For device-specific settings, refer to this help article.

  6. If you're using a Windows device, check if battery saver is enabled. If enabled, it would restrict push notifications. If yes, then you need to either charge your device or turn OFF battery saver. On Windows 10, go to Settings > System > Battery to turn it OFF. On Windows 11, go to Settings > System > Power & battery.

  7. If you are still not receiving push notifications, you can sign in using other OneAuth modes. Click Problem signing in? to use them. For further assistance, contact us at support@zohoaccounts.com.
