Understanding operations

What does this page cover
Learn about the Operations module in the Zoho Developer Console and the features available to manage support access, system integrations, AI capabilities and other features to help better your applications.
Availability
  • Operations can only be managed by super admins.
  • All the specified features under Operations will behave the same way as in Zoho Creator.

1. Overview

The Operations page provides super admin with access to tools required to manage application-level support, integrations with Zoho services, and AI-assisted development features within the Developer Console.

2. Navigation guide

You can find Operations under the MANAGE section in the left pane once you sign in to your Developer Console account. It lists the different functions or features that allow you to configure actions, analyze insights, and manage both your organization and your applications' activities.

3.  Features Available in Operations

3.1 Support Access

Support Access allows you to grant or revoke application access to the Zoho Creator Support team. You can:

  • Grant temporary access to your application for troubleshooting

  • Define a time period after which access is automatically revoked

  • Support developers can view and edit the application but cannot access account-level details

This ensures secure and controlled collaboration with the Zoho support team. Learn more
For example, when an application built in Zoho Developer Console encounters unexpected behavior, you can use Support Access in Operations to grant the Zoho Support team a time-bound access to the application for investigation and fixes, without exposing account-level data or keeping access open longer than necessary.

3.2 System Integrations

System Integrations enables you to manage integrations between your applications and various Zoho services.

Using this section, you can:

  • View all available built-in Zoho integrations

  • Enable or disable integrations as required

  • Manage integration capabilities from a single, centralized location

This helps streamline connectivity while maintaining control over enabled services. Learn more

For example, when you need to connect your application to specific Zoho services, use System Integrations in Operations to view available built-in integrations and enable or disable them as required, ensuring only the necessary services are active and centrally managed.

3.3 Zia

Zia brings AI-powered assistance to application development in Zoho Creator.

With Zia, you can:

  • Build applications and forms using natural language

  • Generate components by describing your requirements

  • Accelerate development using AI-powered intelligence

Zia helps reduce development time and simplifies complex configuration tasks. Learn more

Partners and developers can use Zia to quickly build forms and components using natural language, making it easier to showcase a proof of concept (PoC) to clients and speed up app development.
For example, you can use Zia in Operations and enter, "Create a project budgeting tool that pulls data from project plans to track expenses, manage budgets, and generate financial reports for stakeholders." Zia will generate relevant forms such as Projects, Expenses, and Budgets, along with reports, helping you quickly demonstrate the solution.
