DataPrep saves your data connections to avoid hassles in keying them often.
To access your saved data connections
1. Create a pipeline or open an existing pipeline from the Home Page, Pipelines tab or Workspaces tab and click the Add data option. You can also click the Import data option under the Workspaces tab to import data. Info: You can also click the
Import data icon at the top of the pipeline builder and bring data from multiple sources into the pipeline.
2. Choose Saved data connections from the left pane in the Choose your data source section while importing a data.
2. Manage your saved data connections from the data import screen. Click the ellipses icon to share, edit, view the connection overview, or remove the connection.
Info: You can also manage your connections from the Connection tab under the Settings page.
3. You can update the saved connection with new credentials using the Edit connection option.
4. Click the connection you need. You'll be directed to the corresponding data import screen.
For example, if you had chosen an FTP connection used earlier, you can seamlessly import data from the same configuration that was saved.
Data connection options
You can perform the following actions on data connections:
- Connection overview
- Edit connection
- Share connection
- Remove connection
Connection overview
The Connection overview option allows you to view the basic details of data connections such as created by which user, created on which date, the usage details, the connection type and more.
To view the connection overview
1. Choose Saved data connections from the left pane in the Choose a data source section while importing a data.
2. Click the ellipses icon in the data connection and select the Connection overview option.
3. The Connection overview pane will slide open on the right-hand side of the page.

icons to edit or delete the connection.
5. You can also share the connections by clicking the Share connection link.
6. The usage details such as the dataset name that uses the connection, a tag to indicate whether the connection is being used to import or export the dataset, the user who actively uses the connection for the dataset, and the workspace name within which the dataset is available are displayed under the Usage details section.
Edit connection
DataPrep allows you to edit the data connection details saved.
To edit a data connection
1. Choose Saved data connections from the left pane in the Choose a data source section while importing a data.
2. Click the ellipses icon in the data connection and select the Edit Connection option.
3. After making the required changes, click the Update button.
Share Connection
DataPrep allows you to share connection details and connection as an entity with other users.
To share data connection
1. Choose Saved data connections from the left pane in the Choose a data source section while importing a data.
2. Click the ellipses icon in the data connection and then select the Share connection option.
3. The Share connection pane opens on the right-hand side of the page.
4. Provide the email address(es) or user group name(s) in the Enter user email or user group name text box. You can also search for contacts by clicking the Pick users/groups link.
5. The Send email notification to users check box is selected automatically to notify the users. However, you can modify the selection.
6. Click the Share button and share the connection with the required people.
7. Once the connection is shared, the details are displayed in the Shared details box.
Remove connection
Zoho DataPrep allows you to remove or delete a data connection.
To remove a connection
1. Choose Saved data connections from the left pane in the Choose a data source section while importing a data.
2. Click the ellipses icon present in the data connection and then select the Remove Connection option.
3. Click the Remove button in the Remove Connection dialog box.
Note: You can remove a connection only when there are no datasets associated with the connections.
