Address field elements

The Address field captures comprehensive address information with distinct elements, creating a structured and standardized approach to collecting location data.

Address Elements

  1. Street Address: The specific street or building information.
  2. Address Line 2: Additional address details, such as suite or apartment number.
  3. City: The city or locality.
  4. State/Region/Province: The state, region, or province.
  5. Postal/Zip Code: The postal or zip code for the area.
  6. Country: The country of residence.
    Address Elements

You can customize the address elements using the following options:
  1. Hide an address element by disabling the corresponding  icon  icon. Learn More
  2. Make an address element mandatory by enabling the corresponding checkbox, as shown above. For instance, you might make the Street Address, City, and Country mandatory to ensure essential address components are provided. Learn More
  3. Choose to hide the labels associated with address elements to achieve a cleaner and more streamlined appearance in the form.
  4. Limit the character input in your address elements to ensure data is concise and meets specific length requirements.  You can enable Restrict input on reaching the character limit, to make sure that the respondents cannot type beyond the configured character limit. An error message will be displayed as soon as the limit is reached.
NotesNote:  The character limit is only applicable to text input elements. It will not apply to dropdown elements like Country, or to the State/Region/Province field if the Auto-generated State List is enabled.

Address Auto-fill & Postal/Zip Code Validation

Use the Address Auto-fill and Postal/Zip Code Validation features to automatically populate address fields and ensure postal/zip code accuracy. You can configure either one or both features for your forms, based on your requirements.
  1. Select Map Service: Choose a map service to configure Address Auto-fill. Select Google Maps if you want to set up Postal/Zip Code Validation. Choose None if you don't want to use either feature in your form.
Note To use Google Maps services, you must set up a Google Maps connection and configure a valid Google API key.
    Notes
  2. Auto-fill Address Based onAuto-fill improves user convenience by suggesting and automatically filling address fields based on user input. To configure,
    1. Select Zoho Maps or Google Maps as the map service.
    2. Choose one of the three elements  to trigger the auto-fill:  Street Address, Address Line 2, or Postal/Zip Code.
As the user types in the selected element, auto-fill is triggered, and a list of suggested addresses will appear in the live form. Selecting a suggestion automatically fills the remaining address elements.
  1. Postal/Zip Code ValidationThis feature ensures that the entered Postal/Zip Code matches the State and Country selected in the Address field. It helps prevent mismatched or incorrect postal/zip codes during form submissions. To configure,
    1. Select Google Maps as the map service.
    2. Enable the Validate Postal/Zip Code checkbox.
If Postal/Zip Code Validation is enabled, form submission will be allowed only if the postal/zip code matches both the State and Country in the live form. If there is a mismatch, an error will be shown in the live form, and submission will be blocked.
Note
1. Address Auto-fill is available with both Zoho Maps & Google Maps services.
2. Postal/Zip Code Validation is available only with Google Maps service.
3. Postal/Zip Code Validation works independently and doesn't require Address Auto-fill to be enabled and vice versa. Both can be configured together also.
4. Postal/Zip Code Validation features are available only in paid plans.
