What are Summary Fields in Zoho People?
Summary fields are certain fields in a form that are identified as key fields (important fields), thereby allowing a viewer to summarize what the form or record is all about without having to view all fields. For example, in a gadget request form, the gadget type, gadget model, and request date could be selected as summary fields. Summary fields along with the primary lookup field of a form can be assumed to be the most important fields in a form.

NOTE
Summary fields can only be configured for custom forms.
Application of Summary Fields
The summary fields are displayed during operations initiated in Zoho or other third-party applications that refer to the form's record data. Other fields will be excluded. Let us see an example to understand how summary fields are configured and displayed in Zoho Cliq, which is a Zoho application that can be integrated with Zoho People.
- Navigate to Settings and open a custom service.
